Something beautiful is coming to Enugu!

On 10th October 2026, Enugu’s Solid FM will come alive with the colours, sounds, traditions and rich cultural heritage of our people as we host the Solid FM Yam Festival & Cultural Heritage Festival Season 5!
Venue: Enugu’s Solid FM Premises, 10B Savage Crescent, GRA, Enugu State.

This festival is more than just an event. It is about celebrating our harvest, preserving our traditions, promoting our cultural identity, bringing people together and passing our heritage on to the next generation.

A COMMENDABLE ACT OF COMMUNITY SERVICE: OGBEKE/UKURUTA YOUTHS TAKE ACTION TO REPAIR OUR ROAD

The Executive Committee of Ogbeke/Ukuruta Youths deserves our sincere commendation and appreciation for their selfless initiative to repair portions of the Ogbeke/Ukuruta road leading from Umuna Bridge, which have been badly damaged and washed away by heavy rainfall over the years.

Without waiting for government or any individual to do everything for them, these patriotic young men organized themselves and took practical steps to fill dangerous potholes, restore damaged portions of the road and create makeshift gutters on both sides to help control the flow of rainwater.

This is more than road maintenance, it is a powerful demonstration of community spirit, responsibility, patriotism and leadership.

As the saying goes, “A community develops when its people refuse to fold their arms and wait for others to solve every problem.”

The Ogbeke/Ukuruta youths have shown that when people unite for a common purpose, even difficult challenges can begin to receive solutions.

As the Public Relations Officer of the Ogbeke/Ukuruta Autonomous Community Town Union Executive Committee, i commend the youth leadership and encourage them to do even more. Let this initiative become a continuous spirit of service, unity and positive engagement for the development of our community.

I also make a passionate appeal to all illustrious sons and daughters of Ogbeke/Ukuruta Autonomous Community, at home and in the diaspora, to support our youths and the Town Union in every meaningful way. Our community belongs to all of us, and its development requires the collective contributions, ideas, prayers, resources and goodwill of everyone.

At this important moment, i equally appeal to all members of our community to continue praying and making peaceful, lawful and relentless efforts toward the release of our community security men currently being held at the Enugu State Correctional Centre in connection with the alleged mismanagement of a security situation. Let us pursue peace through lawful and responsible channels while avoiding actions that may further divide our people.

Above all, i urge every son and daughter of Ogbeke/Ukuruta to love one another, respect one another, remain law-abiding and protect the peace and unity of our community.

Our community may face challenges, but together we can overcome them.

Let us build Ogbeke/Ukuruta with unity.Let us protect Ogbeke/Ukuruta with love.Let us develop Ogbeke/Ukuruta with action.Let us leave a better community for the generations coming after us.

Together, Ogbeke/Ukuruta shall move forward!
