The 7 “C”s in the creative industry (part 3/7)

Community

As a creative, you must understand that communities are powerful.
Community is a group of people bound together by care, support, and shared passion.
You must be ready to do two things:
join communities and build community

1.Joining a Community
Some communities teach, some share creative updates, and some collaborate on joint projects.
Avoid communities that try to cage you or prevent you from networking elsewhere.

2. Building a Community: Having your own audience is the best way to remain relevant. These people are your dedicated fans; they trust your name, your voice, and your craft.

Your community acts as your biggest structure🤔helping you share your journey, your story, and your beginnings with their own audience..
Building a community from scratch is much harder than joining one. It requires patience, consistency, and giving back
E.g sharing free tips, or teaching your skills.

The 7 "C"s in the Creative Industry(Part 2/7)

COLLABORATION (COLLABO)

Every creative/creator must understand the importance of collaboration.
In the creative space, you must be ready to work with others.
Examples
If you are a Photographers you can collaborate with videographers, models, and makeup artists .
As a Beaders you can collaborate with fashion designers .
Safe rules of Collaboration
1) Define the Terms: know the terms and conditions, ensure you thoroughly understand the terms and conditions before starting.
2)Get It in Writing when necessary : Always secure a written agreement when necessary, such as a formal contract or a signed deal sheet.

3) Know Your "Why":
identify the primary goal of the collaboration:
1)Earn: some collaborate to earn income.
2)Networking: Collaborating to build valuable industry connections.
3)Collaborating for unpaid PR and portfolio building.

The 7 "C"s in the Creative Industry(Part 1/7)

CONSISTENCY
Consistency is not just about the times you talk about your craft, or the hours you use to work on a craft.
Consistency is about the number of times you have a reason to give up and refuse to give up.

Consistency is about how many "no"s you hear but choose to stay true to the brand.
It is about your inner growth and your outside growth.
It is about all the effort you put into the brand. It is about your candle-burning days.
It is about your behind the scenes and in the scenes.

It is about the undo and redo.
It is about the unlearning and relearning.
It is about the building and unbuilding.
It is about doing it over and over again.
It is about patterns and changing patterns.
It is about structure and restructuring.

Consistency is the story of a brand/craft.
It is the story of strength, growth, and not giving up.

My definition: Consistency is all the effort you put into a craft/business .
