📌 *Too Much Exposition.* Providing too much background information can slow the story's pace and lessen its excitement without clear transitions can confuse readers and disrupt the story's flow.

LITTLE EATERS, BIG IMPACT.

Have you ever watched little children played? Their minds are filled with all kinds of imagination. This is why in their mind, everywhere is a playground. They want to know, learn and discover.

They are little eaters but what they consume (contents) can shape their beliefs about people, things and the world they try to discover around them in a good or bad ways.

Alright, come with me and learn. Just take a piece of foam and a towel, soak each with water and watch how each absorbs water. I bet you you will be mindful of the type of topics/contents your children/wards are exposed to.

TOPICS/THEMES TO AVOID WHEN WRITING CHILDREN'S BOOKS.

(1) Never put up VIOLENT themes/topics for children. They're curious. It will mould them to a bad behavior.

(2) SEXUAL themes are harmful to them. It will change their thinkings about relationship with others.

(3) Never use SWEARING/NEGATIVE words. Children will think that's the best way to talk or address people.

NOTE: The above is not limited to creative writers of children's literature/fiction but also extends to parents, teachers and all that are involved in raising a total child in our society.

BRING BACk THE READING CULTURE.

We have failed in this regard. A young lady, an undergraduate, could not pronounce "rhythm." I don't blame her, probably because consonant letters formed it and the silent h caused her problem.

I recall years ago, 2010 or so, former president Goodluck Jonathan launched a program, , to revive our reading culture. The rest was history. Has the successive governments revived the campaign? This is the question in our lips. But the world has changed from that time. Yes, they know.

Technology has taken over. You can now read anything from the SCREEN, of an IPAD, phone, laptop etc, even as a kid.

However, reading from the SCREEN seems tiring and uninteresting to many and they resort to visual stuff (Videos) and short reads. If we must bring back our reading culture, we must individually, not government, do the following:

(1) Regulate SCREEN time for kids as parents.

(2) Novella to come to our aid.

(3) Irrespective of themes/messages, author's should make their story fun.

(4) Introduce reading hard copy contents at tender age.

(5)Start reading clubs at the elementary school.

(6) Introduce them to newspaper's reading at little age.

I feel I have to tell everyone about this. What makes you reliable and distinct is your ability to communicate well with co-workers at your workplace, companies, organizations, hospitals, schools, factories or even in workshops and outlets etc.

How flexible are you in your approach to work roles/duties? Are you good at showing initiative at work?

These are just some of the things that make you stand out and possibly being favoured where there's opportunity (if any).

However, there might be workplace situations, where a coworker or selected ones will feel you're tipped above them. They will try all manipulative means to sabotage your efforts and if they can't, they craft an unconducive workplace environment for you. Don't be moved. You're still special in your unique way.
