Ilebaye Odiniya aka Gen-Z baddie has been announced the winner of season 8 of the BBN show, tagged All Stars.

She was announced winner of the show on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Ilebaye emerged winner after defeating other finalists; Mercy, Ceec, Adekunle, Cross, and Pere.

As winner of the show, she goes home with N120m and other mouthwatering prizes. She proved to be a strategic player this season despite facing challenges in forming relationships within the house.

Man bags just 5 years imprisonment for hypn%tizing & r@ping an 18-yr-old girl in Kwara.

A Kaiama Magistrate Court sitting in Kwara North Senatorial District has sentenced a 24-year-old man, Tashiu Aminu Lulu to 5 years imprisonment for crim charm, a§§ault & gross indecency on Halirat Ismaila.

He reportedly committed the act on September 20, 2023 in Woro Community of Kaiama LGA of the state.

The convict was arrested by the personnel of the NSCDC, Kaiama Division based on a complaint from one Halirat Ismaila who accused the suspect of crim charm, a§§ault & gross ind£cency.

According to Halirat, “The suspect called her on phone to come over to his house, she allegedly left her house unconsciously & on getting to the suspect’s house, he ordered her to pull off her clothes which she did unconsciously.

The suspect thereafter took a razor blade & c¥t some hair from her head, armpit & private p@rt. He commanded her to do some incantations with a calabash in her hands & had s+x with her.

Three persons rescued as container fälls on a car from Ojuelegba bridge

Three persons escaped d£ath as a 40-feet container fell from the Ojuelegba Bridge on a Toyota Corolla car inward Stadium on Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere, Lagos, on Sunday.

In a press statement by the director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Adebayo Taofiq, he said the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other emergency responders rescued the occupants of the vehicle.

According to him, out of the three occupants of the trapped vehicle, only one person came out unhurt and was allowed to go home immediately while the remaining two sustained inj¥ries.

He said, “Traffic Officer Olajide Olukoga ‘Bravo’ who led the LASTMA rescue operations at the scene of the acc confirmed that a 40ft container fell on top of a Toyota Corolla car (JJJ 811 FB) at the top Ojuelegba bridge inwards Stadium.

Don’t travel to Delta, Rivers and 16 other states in Nigeria — U.S. warns citizens.

The US Department of State has advised Americans to reconsider travelling to Nigeria “due to crime, t£rrorism, civil unrest, kidn@pping, and armed gangs.”

In its latest travel advisory shared on Wednesday, the US noted that some areas “have increased risk”. It advised its citizens against travelling to Borno, Yobe, Kogi, and northern Adamawa states due to t£rrorism and kidna ; Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, and Zamfara states due to kidn@pping; Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Enugu, Imo, and Rivers states (with the exception of Port Harcourt) due to crime, kidn@pping, and armed gangs.

“Vi%l£nt crime – such as armed robbery, a§§ault, carj@cking, kidn@pping, hostage taking, roadside banditry, and r@p£ – is common throughout the country.

Kidn@ppings for ransom occur frequently, often targeting dual national citizens who have returned to Nigeria for a visit, as well as U.S. citizens with perceived wealth.

P@nic as dollar reportedly trades for N1000 to $1.

The exchange rate between the naira and dollar reportedly quoted for between N980 and N1000 to $1 in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja and Kano on Thursday, September 21.

Leadership reports that in Lagos the dollar is trading for N1000, in Abuja and Port Harcourt, the price of the dollar is N980/$1, while it is selling for N965/$1 in Kano.

Meanwhile, the official rate of the dollar is N768.5/$1. A market survey on Thursday showed that in the black or parallel market, the dollar is gaining more strength against the local currency, despite the government’s promise to crash the price of the dollar to increase the value of the naira.

A currency trader in the Wuse Zone 4 area of Abuja Mallam Abu told the publication that the price of the dollar is expected to appreciate beyond the current level in the coming days.

He said the reason the price is currently hovering around N980 was due to lower demand for the hard currency at the moment.
