Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament,
You give Yourself completely to me.
Teach me to trust You in all things
in uncertainty, weakness, and waiting.
As You feed me with Your Body,
strengthen my faith and calm my fears. Amen.

My cousin has successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing, earning First Class Honours. 👩‍⚕️🎊

Behind this achievement are years of sacrifice,
late-night tears, academic pressure, loneliness, and the daily struggles that come with being an international student far away from home. There were moments when giving up seemed easier, but grace held firm.

In her own words, she acknowledges that the Holy Spirit was her constant helper, strengthening her when strength was low and opening doors when the road felt blocked.

This is not just a certificate.
It is proof that consistency pays, prayers are not wasted, and God truly walks with those who refuse to give up.

We rejoice, we give thanks, and we say:
Congratulations, Nurse!
May this new chapter be filled with compassion, excellence, and service to humanity.

What happened?

Another Anglican bishop has formally entered into full communion with the Catholic Church.
Through this act, he has professed the Catholic faith and been received by the Church, a step often described as “coming home to Rome.”

This does not mean rejecting Christ or faith already lived; rather, it is a response to conscience, a conviction about apostolic continuity, sacramental fullness, and unity with the See of Peter.

It is a reminder that the journey of faith is ongoing, and for some, it leads them to embrace the Catholic Church as the fullness of the Church founded by Christ.

Those who look to God without covering their faces
are not ashamed of their need,
not hiding their wounds,
not pretending strength where there is none.

They come as they are
open, trusting, vulnerable
and the light of God meets them there.

Scripture says, “Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame” (Psalm 34:5).

In the Catholic tradition, the bishop’s skull cap, known as the zucchetto, carries a meaning that is at once symbolic, spiritual, and historical. Its color immediately identifies ecclesiastical rank, with purple indicating a bishop, red a cardinal, and white the pope, making it a quiet visual language of the Church’s hierarchy.

Beyond identification, the zucchetto expresses authority understood not as personal power but as responsibility received from God through apostolic succession. By covering the head, the seat of judgment and governance, it signifies that a bishop’s leadership is exercised in humility and submission to divine authority.

Within the liturgy, the use of the zucchetto deepens this meaning. The bishop removes it at the most sacred moments, especially during the Eucharistic Prayer, a gesture that shows reverence before the mystery and presence of Christ. Historically, the skull cap also had a practical origin, protecting clerics with tonsured heads from the cold of medieval churches, but what began as necessity gradually took on enduring symbolic value.

Today, the bishop’s skull cap stands as a sign of continuity with centuries of tradition, reminding both bishop and faithful that ecclesial authority is service, reverence comes before status, and the Church’s ministry is always lived under God.
