The UAE is another place you can start if u are lucky! You do make it over to the country of your choice from this place!
My little Experience! In Dubai, after they sacked me from my dishwashing job, I got this one. That’s about 2 months in the city of Dubai and my 3 months viza was about expiring.
The little money I had was spent on bed space, train, chai, and printing CVs. This job was my saving grace… it came with 900 dirhams salary, accommodation, freezone work viza and health insurance.
I was a warehouse associate, a fancy name for laboring in warehouse 12 hours daily. Hauling, packaging, rebranding, sorting and shelving cosmestics and beauty care products.
I worked 6 months straight without off. No fun. No good food. Just rice and akpuruakpu sauce. No girlfriend ma ya fozia knacking. It was a semi pr!son experience. I don’t recommend.
But I was saving the money I got there. Little by little, I saved about 1700 dirhams. Then, I used the money to take a professional exam to work in facilities management and real estate.
Luckily enough, the day I got my certificate there was a company hiring. I smashed the interview. Of course, I am very eloquent and knows how to knit words together.
I got to work in Jumeirah Lake Towers. Level changed. Salary increased by 300%. I got my undergraduate transcripts. Started applying for scholarships and admissions in the US, UK, South Africa, Sweden, Germany…
Cut the long story shut! I later returned back to Nigeria after my contract ended, I then started applying for other people the same way I did mine.
I first study visa application to the US was rejected, But about 3 universities gave me admission! I later applied for couple of persons here in Lagos and their visa were Approved.
It’s not necessarily I be the one to do your Application, I can also help you write a good Standard CV through my term, I can help you get POF if you need one, I also can help you make some International payment if u need one. Just

Regardless of what you’re passing through abroad or in Nigeria , have a plan. Save and save. No matter how small, just save. Acquire a relevant certificate, training or skill that can elevate your earnings.
It’s fine to be patient in a low paying job, but don’t relax there for years. After 6 months, you should start asking questions about career mobility or leave.
