Someone wrote on Chidimna's post that her worst mistake was to switch to gospel music. To those who don't know her, she is a gospel musician. She used to sing wordly music before her conversion.
These are kind of words usually directed at people who used to be famous in the world and who have had a conviction and decided to abandon that world to follow Christ.
They are ridiculed that they no longer trend. They are mocked because they no longer do things to please the world. Listen, you can trend on earth and stink in heaven of what benefit is that? You can praised by men while heaven is weeping over your soul, of what benefit is that to you?
To all others who used to serve the world and have decided to abandon that for Christ, we have your back, and above all Jesus has your back. Ignore the mockeries and ride on. He who laughs last laughs best! Cheer up Chidinma. We are praying for you and others!
