The day I gave birth is a day I will never forget.
From 30 weeks, I started having contractioons. They werenβt intense, so I kept going, holding on, managing each day with faith and strength. The doctors told me to come in once it became serious. I carried on like that until 34 weeks and 3 days.
Eventually, it was time⦠not through labor, but an elective CS.
My babies were delivered in the morning, between 7 and 8am. But what happened after was a fight for my life.
I started bleeding heavily. I lost so much blood⦠more than I could ever imagine. Before I knew it, everything went blank. The next time I became aware, it was already 9pm at night. I was on oxygen. I had received six pints of blood.
I almost didnβt make it.
But God said no. God stepped in and gave me another chance at life.
People see the smiles, the pictures, the joyβ¦ but they donβt always see the sacrifice behind it. Giving birth to one baby is not easyβnow imagine carrying and delivering four at once. My body went through so much, but God saw me through it all.
Today, I am alive. I am here to tell the story. And I am forever grateful.
To every pregnant mother reading this: donβt let fear take over your heart. Yes, the journey can be tough, and sometimes scary, but God goes before you and stands with you through it all.
Your story will end in joy.
This is my testimonyβ¦ and I give God all the glory. π
