This page is focused on creating awareness and placing value on humanity through intellectual talk shows in selected areas of interest, such as Politics, Education, History and Entertainment. It is our desire to get people acquainted with some of the realities in politics and governance, education, history and entertainment which has a lot to play on our moral and psychological behaviour. We belie

ve that learning is a continuous process, and we are glad to be students forever. Our passion for research, creativity and journalism lies in the foundation laid by Professor Wole Soyinka, the first black African writer to win the Noble Prize for Literature in 1986. It is not possible to doubt that Professor Wole Soyinka made meaningful and invaluable contributions in redefining and reshaping the literature in Africa while preserving the beauty that is embedded in cultures, values and histories of Africa in the precolonial times.

Do you know who Mike Godson is? He is a Nigerian, and a renowned Nollywood actor. I don’t usually watch Nigerian movies, but recently, I stumbled upon a short drama on TikTok where Mike Godson happened to be the lead character. I wanted to skip it after the first scene but his rare acting talent kept me engrossed until the end of that clip on TikTok. Out of suspense, I searched for the title on YouTube and watched the entire movie. Since then, I've watched at least one Nigerian movie every day, specifically those starring Mike Godson. Mike Godson

Mike Godson is not only handsome, he's also very good in executing his role. He tells stories with so much passion, emotion, and believability. I like him so much, and I’ve learned a lot of lessons just by watching his movies. His character development, psychological complexity, and relationship with his foil need to be studied.

Acting, according to Konstantin Stanislavski, should reflect truth and believability. An actor must be able to establish verisimilitude (an action that seems real in the eyes of the audience). Each time I watch Mike Godson on screen, his character portrayal reminds me of Stanislavski’s words, "...the actor must believe in everything that takes place on the stage and most of all in what he himself is doing."

The Recent developments in our nation continue to raise serious concerns about the direction we are headed as a democracy. The tension in the land aggravated by hardship is being needlessly fueled by our attitude to the rule of law and human rights.

The arrest of Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), though perhaps within the legal rights of security agencies, was carried out in a manner that left many Nigerians unsettled.

The display of force, lacking in transparency and civility, closely resembled an abduction, a disturbing method that not only creates fear but also risks being mimicked by criminal elements. If Nigerians begin to struggle to distinguish between legitimate arrests and unlawful abductions, we will lose a vital layer of national security and accountability.

This trend is not new. We must recall that even our esteemed judges, the last line of defence for justice, have suffered similar indignities in recent years. When those who interpret the law are treated with such disregard, it is difficult to expect that ordinary citizens will feel protected under the law.

Moreover, these methods are beginning to affect our economy and business environment. The backlash directed at GTBank, allegedly linked to the circumstances surrounding Mr. Otse’s arrest, has had serious reputational consequences. At a time when investor confidence is already fragile, we must do all we can to avoid actions that tarnish institutions or undermine the trust of both citizens and the international community.

One cannot help but ask: was it impossible to invite Mr. Otse in a civil, transparent, and legal manner? Would that not have spared Nigerians, GTBank, and our national image the unnecessary shame and losses we now witness?

Similarly troubling are allegations surrounding the so-called adoption of the NANS President If true, it raises critical questions about the independence of student leadership and the subtle erosion of young voices in our democracy. Nigeria’s youth should not feel coerced, silenced, or absorbed into political agendas that do not reflect their will. The oppression of young voices, whether through force, patronage, or intimidation, is a dangerous path that we must not normalize.

We must return to a Nigeria where justice is done and is seen to be done without theatrics or abuse. A country where youth can speak freely, judges can serve with dignity, and institutions act responsibly. That is the Nigeria we must rebuild.

A new Nigeria is POssible!

Today, I had the opportunity to meet with Quadri Yusuf Alabi, the young boy whose story moved us all. After enduring unjust and illegal incarceration, he is finally free, and I am very grateful to the lawyers led by , who fought for his release and also and Ms Hassana Nurudeen,, whose constant intervention was instrumental in securing justice for the young lad.

I listened to Quadri today, and one thing stood out clearly: his unwavering desire for education. Despite all he has been through, his only dream is to return to school and complete his education and I will make sure he gets it.

His determination is not just inspiring; it is a call to action, and I am committed to ensuring that he gets the education he desires and deserves.

In addition, we must not stop at his release. Those responsible for his illegal incarceration must be held accountable. As we strive to build a Nigeria where fairness and integrity prevail, we cannot afford to allow such acts of criminality to go unpunished.

I once again thank the lawyers and everyone who stood and remained unrelenting for justice.

Together, we will build a Nigeria where education, freedom, rule of law, equity and justice, care and protection of the less privileged in our midst will stand as the foundation of our democracy.

A new Nigeria is Possible.

Marcus Aurelius was a Roman emperor from 161 to 180 AD and is best known as one of the most important Stoic philosophers. He is often referred to as one of the "Five Good Emperors" of Rome due to his capable and just rule. Marcus Aurelius wrote a series of personal writings known as the 𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, which are considered one of the greatest works of philosophy. In these writings, he reflects on his Stoic beliefs, providing insights into duty, rationality, and the acceptance of the natural order of life.

As a Stoic, Marcus Aurelius emphasized the importance of self-discipline, moral virtue, and staying calm in the face of adversity. His reign was marked by significant military conflicts, particularly against the Germanic tribes, but he is remembered for his efforts to govern with wisdom and integrity, embodying the Stoic ideals he cherished.

The fate of Africa was decided by a group of people who met in Berlin, Germany, between 1884 and 1885.

Out of the fourteen countries represented, seven of them, such as Austria-Hungary, Russia, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden-Norway, the Ottoman Empire, and the United States, went home without any formal possessions in Africa (Wikipedia).

Who you are today, the theories, the education, and the religion, is the making of a white man, who redefined your purpose after God's original plan for you as an African.

We all are guilty, not even the so called religious leaders are innocent.
