Nigerian Crunchy Buns Recipe

Puff puff and Buns which do you prefer?

Crispy on the outside, soft inside ..your favorite street snack done right at home!

Ingredients for Crunchy Nigerian Buns

3 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp grated nutmeg (optional but recommended)

2 tbsp margarine or softened butter

2 large egg

3/4 cup liquid milk or water (adjust gradually)

Vegetable oil for deep frying

Instructions

1. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg.

2. Add margarine: Rub in the margarine with your fingers until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.

3. Add egg: Crack in the egg and mix lightly.

4. Add liquid: Slowly pour in milk or water while mixing, until you get a thick but slightly stretchy dough..not watery, not stiff.

5. Preheat oil: Heat oil in a deep frying pan. To test readiness, drop a tiny bit of dough — it should sizzle and float up slowly.

6. Fry in batches: Scoop small portions of dough (using your hands or an ice cream scoop) into the oil. Fry on medium heat to allow the inside to cook properly.

7. Flip and fry: Stir and flip occasionally until the buns are golden brown and crispy all over.

8. Drain and cool: Remove and drain on paper towels.

Enjoy with a chilled drink or tea. Perfect for breakfast, snack time, or small chops platter!

Motivation Mood activated!

Hey lovelies, before you sleep tonight, think about this... I want to know if you will you take this advice or scroll past it again?

You’re shy I get it. But does that really matter anymore? You’ve been posting amazing content here: your skills, your ideas, your creativity… all of it deserves a wider audience.

So why haven’t you started posting on your YouTube channel yet? Haven’t you procrastinated enough?

I used to be just like you..doubting myself, overthinking, hiding in the background. But two months ago, I took a bold step and gave it another shot despite haven created the account many years ago. Now, my YouTube channel is growing fast. My cake videos get over 2,000 views sometimes, and guess what? I don’t even show my face!

At first, I only remixed other people’s content. Now I confidently post mine..and so can you! Whether it’s your baking, your jokes, your crafts, your everyday moments…
If you can post it here, you can share it there too.

Don’t wait for the perfect moment.. Please start already with what you have.

One step today can change everything.

I love you all

Homemade, buttery, Shortbread recipe you have to try!

Once you taste this homemade Scottish shortbread, you’ll never buy it from the store again! Isn't flaky yet crispy. Try it and thank me later..

Ditch the supermarket bought shortbread and..bake your own irresistible Scottish shortbread!

(I made this myself, and trust me. it’s worth every bite! My kids enjoyed it)

Ingredients

200g unsalted butter (softened)

100g caster sugar, brown or granulated sugar

250g plain flour

50g cornflour

1 teaspoon salt

Flavors are optional. I used condensed milk and vanilla flavor

šŸ‘©ā€šŸ³ Method

1. In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar, and salt together until pale, light, and fluffy.

2. Sift the plain flour and cornflour, then gradually mix into the butter mixture to form a soft dough.

3. Lightly flour your work surface, then roll the dough out to about ¼ inch (6mm) thick. Cut into fingers, rounds, or any shape you like.

4. Arrange the pieces on a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking tray. Use a skewer or fork to gently prick decorative holes on top.

5. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (fan 150°C / 340°F) for about 25–30 minutes, or until the edges just turn golden.

6. While still warm, sprinkle generously with caster sugar. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy your melt-in-the-mouth, buttery shortbread with a cup of tea — and never look at store-bought the same way again!

That sardine you left in your fridge… how long do you want to keep it there? Yes i am referring to you Hanty, Please, bake something with it! šŸ˜‚

The kids are on holiday.. Meaning it the perfect time to make it and (not buy!) soft, fresh sardine bread that’s actually filled with sardines, not just the flavor.

Pair it with very thick Milo + milk, eat, and sleep like a boss.

Here’s the recipe (makes 2 loaves): I used 1 Kg for mine

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour (+ ½ cup extra for kneading)

1½ cups warm milk

1 large egg

ā…“ cup sugar

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

3 tablespoons softened butter

1 can sardines (drained & mashed)

Directions

••••Mix warm milk, yeast & a pinch of sugar. Let it foam (5–10 mins).

••• In a large bowl, add flour, sugar, egg, butter & yeast mixture. Mix into soft dough.

••• Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 mins till smooth & elastic.

••••Place dough in greased bowl, cover & let rise 1–2 hrs.

••• Punch down, divide in 2, roll each flat, spread sardines, roll up & pinch edges.

•••Place on greased tray/pan, cover & let rise another 30–45 mins.

•••Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 mins till golden.

Enjoy warm..you deserve it. ā¤ļø

Will you try this? Drop a 🐟 if yes!

Everything is Content..You Don’t Know Who Needs It!

Someone recently shared how they made almost $7,000 just by posting content on Facebook. Isn’t that amazing? For many people today, creating content on Facebook has become more than just a hobby..it’s a full-time job, and a very rewarding one at that.

One thing they said really stuck with me:
ā€œPost everything, because everything is content. You don’t know who might need it.ā€

And that’s so true!
What feels ordinary or ā€œtoo smallā€ to you could be the exact thing someone else is searching for..a tip, a laugh, a little motivation, or even a solution to their problem.

•• That cake you baked and saved on your phone since 2023 it's time to post it.. Someone might be waiting to see how you created it

••That meal you cooked? Someone wants to try it.

••That funny moment in your day? Someone needs that smile.

•• That little lesson life taught you today? It could change someone else’s perspective.

Don’t overthink it. Don’t wait for perfect. Start sharing what you already know and do. Every post is a seed planted..you never know which one will grow.

Facebook and other platforms reward consistency and authenticity. Whether you’re looking to inspire, educate, entertain, or sell, your content has the power to reach the right people at the right time.

So today I encourage you:
* Post that thought.
* Share that picture.
* Record that video.
* Tell your story.

Because everything is content..and someone out there is waiting for what only you can give.

Let’s go create and impact lives..and maybe even make a full-time income doing it!

Oya let's go! show your market to the world!
