Almost everyone online says they cried after watching the video of 19 year old Samuel.
I will be honest. I did too.
The video stirred something deep.
It reminded me of old Nollywood.
The era when stories had meaning.
When films reflected real life, pain, hope and purpose.
Not todayโs culture of fake wealth and loud living.
It took me back to the days of Liz Benson movies.
I remembered watching Scores to Settle with my younger brother.
We cried because the story felt real.
It mirrored our own struggles.
At first glance, many may have judged Samuel wrongly.
But God works differently.
He answers prayers in His own time.
Samuel held on.
He believed a better day would come.
He did not take shortcuts.
He stayed focused.
He kept his dream alive, even while picking plastics at a dump site.
Like Joseph, he trusted God and stayed the course.
Then help came.
From a total stranger.
And his story changed.
But the moment that broke me was his final request.
He asked that someone should speak to his mother.
That was when the tears flowed freely.
After watching the video, I prayed.
I used Samuelโs story as a point of contact.
For myself and for everyone waiting for a breakthrough.
It may not come the same way.
But at the right time, help will come.
If a helper is needed, God will raise one.
The God who changed Samuelโs story is still at work.
And He will do the same for all who believe.
