The Federal Government on Tuesday December 8, announced a reduction in the pump price of petrol from N168 to N162.44 per litre. Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige who made the announcement at the end of a meeting with labour leaders, said the new pump price will be effective from December 14. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a teenager, Ujunwa Offiah, for allegedly conspiring with her boyfriend, Blessed Ifesinachi, to fake her kidnap and demand N30m ransom from her family. The police also arrested an accomplice, Precious Chukwu, 22, whose phone was reportedly used to negotiate with Offiah’s family.
