بنين: دكتورة وداد نموذج الريادة والتميز للمستعربة الأفريقية الناجحة.

تمثل الدكتورة وداد نائبي أبرز نموذج للمرأة الأفريقية المثقفة بالعربية تنشئ مؤسسة أكاديمية توفر التعليم الجامعي للمستعربين من بني جلدتها في بلدها بنين والدول الأفريقية المجاورة، (معهد ابن بطوطة الأفريقي ).
والدكتورة وداد نائبي من دولة بنين متخصصة في الأدب والنقد، لها مساهمات ونشاطات عدة، فهي إعلامية وداعية، وباحثة في الأدب الإفريقي وشؤون المرأة ، كما تعمل مرشدة اجتماعية دينية، ومدربة في مجال تطوير الذات وناشطة في الحوار بين الأديان، وهي مؤسسة لمنظمة نسائية خيرية.تعمل مديرة معهد ابن بطوطة الإفريقي، ومشرفة على برنامج اللغة العربية والدراسات الإسلامية لدى إدارة الامتحانات والمسابقات التابع لوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي لدولة بنين، وتعمل كذلك محاضرة جامعية، في جامعة بنين الوطنية، بمعهد اللغة العربية والثقافة الإسلامية. أسفرت جهودها عن اتحاد حاملات الشهادات العربية بجمهورية بنين 2013م، ومنظمة التضامن الإسلامي الفعال في جمهورية بنين، 2015م، وفتح مركزللشهادة الثانوية العالمية السودانية بجمهورية بنين، 2018م، وعن تأسيس اتحاد لرابطة خريجي جامعة إفريقيا العالمية بجمهورية بنين 2017م، وعن إنشاء اتحاد للنساء المستعربات 2022م.للدكتورة وداد عدة عضويات مننها عضو مجموعة الحرمين الشريفين للحج والعمرة، ومسؤولة المرأة فيها، منذ عام 2012م حتى يومنا هذا، وعضو في جمعية RPP لحوار بين الأديان، عضو في جمعية وانيب بنين WANEP BENIN، عضو الإدارة التنفيذية لجمعية أصدقاء الإسلام، 2012م حتى الآن، وعضو في رابطة مؤسسات تعليم اللغة العربية للناطقين بغيرها (الإيسيسكو) 2018م، وعضو المجلس الأعلى الإسلامي بجمهورية بنين يونيو 2019م. تقود وتشرف الدكتورة وداد على برنامج دمج حاملي شهادة التعليم العربي في المنظومة التربوية الرسمية وبرنامج مؤلف وكتاب الذي يهدف إلى تشجيع القراءة والبحث باللغة العربية. ودعواتنا لها بموفور الصحة والعافية لمواصلة تلك الجهود المباركة لخدمة حاملي الثقافة العربية الإسلامية في المنطقة.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially approved the renaming of the Federal University of Medical Sciences, Azare, to Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi University of Medical Sciences, Azare, in honour of the late elder statesman and renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

The decision was announced as part of the Federal Government’s effort to recognise Nigerians whose lives and legacies made lasting contributions to education, moral development, and peaceful coexistence. Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi was widely respected across Nigeria and beyond for his dedication to Islamic scholarship, teaching, and community service.

Throughout his lifetime, the late cleric played a significant role in promoting education, discipline, and spiritual enlightenment.

His teachings emphasised peace, tolerance, and service to humanity, values that endeared him to millions of followers cutting across ethnic, regional, and religious lines. He was also known for mentoring generations of scholars and leaders, many of whom continue to contribute positively to society.

By renaming the institution after Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, the Federal Government aims to immortalise his legacy and inspire students and staff of the university to uphold the principles of knowledge, service, and integrity which he stood for.

Stakeholders have described the move as a fitting tribute to a man whose life was devoted to the intellectual and moral upliftment of society.

The newly renamed university is expected to continue its mandate of advancing medical education and research while reflecting the enduring values of its namesake.
