LYM's Daily Devotion For Tuesday; 17/06/2025

Scripture:

“For the body is not one member, but many.”
(1 Corinthians 12:14 (KJV)

Reflection

The Apostle Paul uses the human body to illustrate a powerful truth about the church: we are one body with many parts. No single part is self-sufficient, and no part is insignificant.

Just as our hands, feet, eyes, and ears each serve different functions yet work in harmony, so must we, as members of Christ’s body, serve in unity while embracing our diversity.

Sometimes, we compare ourselves to others or underestimate our worth because we don’t serve in visible roles. But Paul reminds us that every member is vital.

Whether you’re preaching from the pulpit, praying quietly, encouraging others, cleaning the church, or giving generously—your contribution matters.

Lesson for Today

God did not create you to do everything, but He created you to do something that no one else can do exactly like you.

Celebrate your unique role. Instead of envy or competition, choose cooperation and mutual support. The health of the whole body depends on it.

Prayer

Father, thank You for making me a part of the body of Christ. Help me to value the gifts You have given me and to use them faithfully.

Teach me to appreciate the roles others play and to walk in unity with my fellow believers.

Let my life bring harmony, not division, to Your body. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Point:

Ask God to show you your unique place in the body of Christ. Reach out to someone in your church or community and affirm the value of their role.
