I Learned a Powerful "Selling Lesson" Inside a Lagos Bus.
Two days ago, I was heading to Ikotun and had to take two buses.
In the first bus, a man stood up and talked for almost one hour trying to sell a product. He worked hard, even sweating…
But only one person bought.
Was it his village people?? No!
He spoke in a language not everyone understood, and what he sold didn’t solve the immediate problem of the people in that bus.
Second bus...
Another man stood up to sell.
He spoke simple English mixed with pidgin, went straight to the point, and addressed everyday Lagos pain points.
In minutes, people started buying. He sold out a good number quickly.
That’s when I realized that Selling isn’t hard but selling without understanding your audience is.
If you know who you’re talking to,the language they understand and the problem they want solved now. People will buy - anywhere.
If you’re working hard but sales still feel difficult, this might be your missing piece.
Send me a DM, let’s talk about how to position what you sell so it connects and converts.
