That was how I borrowed money in 2021 or thereabout from a loan company.

I wanted to get a laptop and phone for my affiliate marketing business and I was serving my fathers land. So it was easy to pay for those gadgets. I was getting money from the federal and state government and was eating free food in my father’s house. I was also going with someone to work so I had most of my money to myself.

So I went to one of the phone’s stores, met and found out about the interest, when payment would be due and all that. I liked the whole process so I got the loan.

I’m glad I took the money and I didn’t wait one more month before paying everything I owed them.

I have one problem now sha, why is calling me every now and then telling me I have a bonus, free this and that in their company and that I should come and borrow another money. I know I was a good customer but ahah!

U na no want make person grow? Truly, I recommend for your loans and purchase of phones on loans. Their service was seamless but abeg. No call me again o eseun. I no Dey borrow again😂

WHAT CAN MAKE THIS YEAR DIFFERENT FOR YOU? I have listed 10 things to do differently.

1. Renew your mindset about yourself, finances, business, relationships, practically start seeing things differently

2. Consume the right content, be intentional about what you take in. Social media is filled with a lot of information. Choose the type of information you want.

3. Concern yourself with things that matter to you. (family, friends, business, personal development, financial stability, etc)

4. Eat right.

5. Learn high income skills. This will bring you money. It will also help with personal development. (Copywriting, how to run ads, tech, e-commerce, affiliate marketing, etc

6. Call God frequently. Make God priority in your life

7. Focus. This is very important for the journey ahead. It's easy to lose focus on this street called social media

8. Have clarity in all areas of your life. Be intentional with any relationship you are going into. I'm not talking FWB, situationships, define whatever relationships you are having.

9. Seek Knowledge. Google search almost everything. Ask people who know more than you, follow them.

10. Set SMART (SMART here is an acronym which stands for
S- Specific
M- Measurable
A-Attainable
R-Relevant
T-Time-based.

E.G. Money goal:

Specific- You want to make 1 million naira this month of January.

Measurable- When you can see it in your account then you know you have it.

Attainable- Yes. It's attainable. I need to sell in order to make 1 million naira in a month (affiliate marketing, sell my skills or product, etc)

Relevant- Yes. It's relevant to my career and to me as a person.

Time based- one month.

So ask yourself relevant questions that can help you reach your goal.

What do you need to sell?
How many people do you need to reach in a day?
How many sales must you make in a day? etc.

1. You don't even believe your product can bring you millions of naira

2. You are selling within your reach. Family, friends and acquaintances. No more, no less.

3. You don't know your target audience, you think everyone is your customer.

4. You don't have a sales funnel (you don't know where your customers are coming from or where they are going to)

5. You don't have the set of skills for selling (Copywriting, closing, objection handling, etc)

6. You haven't given your potential buyers a reason to buy from you...

Of course 100,000 naira will be just fine for you in 3 months when you can actually make 500k in a month, depends on how much work you put into it. It can be more, it can be less.

If you want your 2022 to be great, you should make plans in 2021.

Remember that saying, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail"
