Professional Bio of Mr. Teng Deng Presidential Candidate for South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), 2025β2029Term
Teng Deng is a South Sudanese-born professional football coach, sports director, and development strategist with an impressive global footprint in the world of football. Born in 1987 in Sudan, Mr. Deng has risen through the ranks to become one of the most respected figures in youth football coaching and sports administration across the UK, USA, Europe, and Mexico. With over 15 years of professional playing and 10 years of coaching experience at the Premier League academy level, his expertise spans technical development, grassroots leadership, and elite player scouting.
Mr. Deng currently serves as the Foundation Phase Academy Coach at Peterborough United Football Club (UK) under dan robinson,where he is responsible for designing and delivering age-appropriate training sessions, evaluating player performance, and managing the transition of players through various academy levels. Prior to that, he was the Director of Football and Head Coach at Goldsmiths University, leading the menβs team to win the British University & College Sports (BUCS) Southern Division Championship in the 2018/2019 season.
Teng also served as the Head Coach for Watford FC Ladies U18/21 team, Academy Coach at Arsenal FC, and worked extensively in the USA, including as a Football Coach for the Olympic Development Program in Chicago and Academy Coach for Chicago Fire Soccer Club. His early coaching experience includes roles at Fulham FC Academy and Tottenham Hotspur FC Academy, the UK.
Internationally, his contributions are highlighted by his involvement with the USA Boys National Teams (U14 & U16) in 2014,His leadership, tactical understanding, and player development philosophy have made him a sought-after coach and mentor in youth football systems worldwide.
Mr. Deng holds a BSc in Sports and Exercise Management from the University of Bath and has attained multiple top-tier coa
