Èkuru, which is known as ófúlójú, can also be called white moi moi.
It is a very common native cuisine that is predominately eaten by the Yoruba people in Nigeria.
It is a meal which is made by steaming blended beans, similar to moin moin and it is also prepared with peeled beans.
Èkuru, which simply can be described as moinmoin deconstructed, i.e, moinmoin without oil, pepper, salt, is usually enjoyed with ata díndín (fried pepper sauce) and èko (steamed white corn pudding).
While some people eat èkuru with okra soup, others eat it with cold èbà. They break the èkuru up in the okra soup and eat it with èba and wàrà (cheese).
Èkuru, which is one of the numerous ways of enjoying beans, is eaten with hands.
While some people say èkuru originates from Kwara state, some argue that it is from Ondo state.
