Nigerian football club, Lobi Stars have ruled out a move for Cristiano Ronaldo, stating that the club has not made any contact with the player or his representatives.

The superstars footballer’s contract was amicably terminated by Manchester United earlier in the week after the Portuguese interview with journalist Piers Morgans where he lashed out at Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag, and others.

Reports have since then suggested that the Makurdi-based side were eyeing the 37-year-old but the club have denied such links.

“Please be informed that is yet to make any contact with representatives of following his release from Manchester United,” the Nigeria Professional Football League said in a tweet on their handle late Wednesday. “We wish him the best & will make no further comment on this.” they said.
