Below are simple and legal descriptions you can use to help avoid unnecessary taxation, as long as the money is not payment for work or business.

Money That Is NOT Income (No Tax)

Use these descriptions only when the funds are not earned income:

Family support:
When a family member sends you money, they should label it as “Gift / Family Support.”

Refund or reimbursement:
When a friend pays back money you gave them, the description should be “Refund / Reimbursement.”

Personal transfers:
When moving your own money between accounts, use “Personal Transfer / Savings.”

Loan:
When someone lends you money, it should be described as “Loan Received.”

Business funding:
When you inject your personal funds into your business, use “Capital Contribution.”

Proper descriptions help ensure you pay only what is legally required — nothing more.

We have made free buses available for Abians in Abuja and Lagos to return home. By tomorrow, the first batch of 20 electric buses will be officially launched. In total, 100 electric buses are planned, with the remaining 80 expected to arrive in Abia next year.
