MY CANDID OPINION ON GTBANK AND VERYDARKMAN SAG"
Here is my genuine takes on this VDM and GTBANK saga.
We all know how the banking system works here in Nigeria. Yes offcourse we aspire to have a better banking system just like the other part of the world, fine" we all clamour for same,but let's not negate some other challenges as a result of this poor banking system.
In as much as i don't like how the so called operative of the economic and financial crime commission (EFCC) handled the arrest of VeryDarkMan (VDM)""" I still have this issue against this young man whom I believe is young and should have had his knowledge more broaden in regards to rendering voice to the voiceless.
First as a social commentator, you should be able to define properly the root cause of the masses problem and focus on it.
Secondly you should be able to define between public and private sector.
This bold will give you the hint of where to channel your agitation in clamouring for a new world or rather a new system.
Let private issue remain private and every other of its problems be resolved privately.
Meanwhile if it's a public issue, then it can as well be resolved publicly focusing on public office holders.
The fact that you have a big social audience doesn't mean you should go ahead and tarnish images and people brand it took them years and generation to build with just one reckless twit and expect not to get bitten.
As a public mouth piece that he wants to serve,he should have just limited his course on public issues and address private sector issue privately away from social media.
Let's not forget that this same Bank we are talking about is an establishment that our brothers and sisters are gainfully engaged in, despite there little short comings. Errors are definately bounds some how because we are all humans.
My summary of this whole issue is"" if you are voice of the people, please stay your cause only" to addressing the political structure of the country, as that is the only genuine root cause of our problem.
Private issues should be handled privately away from social media, as you are dealing with a brand that took someone years or generation of hard labour to build, just imagine what a single twit of yours could do to this brands.
"Do you know what it means to do business here in Nigeria and grow?
"Do you think those banks too are happy with some terms and condition of operations made by politicians or is it because they did not sit you down to discuss the challenges the business is facing as a result of poor governance??
VeryDarkMan (VDM) made a huge mistake and I can only hope he realise this and apologise to GTBANK.
And my sincere apologise to GTBANK please temper justice with mercy and free the young man.
