Heated Car Engine? 7 Things you should do
We know how frustrating it can be to develop a heated engine suddenly. You shouldn't panic though, cos it happens to every car. Here are common ways to fix it
Turn off the air conditioner immediately. This will reduce the stress on the engine
Turn up the heat. Yes, it's surprising but this diverts heat away from the engine
Find a safe place to pull over and shut off the engine
Allow the engine to cool off for at least 15 minutes. Watch the guage to know when it returns to the normal range
Call a mechanical engineer or a friend who can help if issue persists
Add radiator fluid (if you have) to protect engine from further damage
Drive to a nearby repair shop if the heat reduces
