A Heartwarming Journey Through Essien Udim

Day 5 lit up the Christmas Park with pure cultural magic as Essien Udim Local Government Area stepped into the spotlight.

The entire village square transformed into a living showcase of Annang heritage, giving everyone present a reason to smile, cheer, and connect with their roots.

From energetic traditional dances to captivating storytelling moments, the people of Essien Udim brought their history to life in the most colourful fashion.

The iconic Abiakpo masquerade drew loud applause, while the display of native delicacies, crafts, and artistic expressions reminded us just how rich and beautiful our traditions truly are.

Essien Udim didn’t just perform, they owned the day with pride.

CHRISTMAS UNPLUGGED 3.0 – DAY 4

Day 4 of Christmas Unplugged brought the vibrant spirit of Esit Eket to life as the coastal jewel of Akwa Ibom showcased its cultural brilliance. From the rhythms to the rituals, the community treated everyone to a stunning parade of heritage and identity.

The atmosphere came alive with colourful performances; Ekpe, Ikid, Nsa Isong, Ekong Nke and several other traditional displays, each telling a unique story of Esit Eket’s rich ancestry. It was a celebration of art, culture, and pride woven into one unforgettable evening.

Truly, Esit Ekid stood tall and proud.

Day 3 lit up Ibom Christmas Park as the vibrant people of Eket Local Government Area took over the arena with a burst of colour, culture and pure celebration energy.

With cultural groups showcasing their craft, fashion and local delicacies, the atmosphere was alive with admiration from everyone present. The village square came to life with graceful itembe swirls, the commanding rhythm of ekpe and the elegant flow of ekombi.

It was a proud cultural display, Eket arrived with style and they absolutely delivered.
