My political career actually started in my secondary school days when I contested for Time keeper. I specially want to congratulate my principal Mr Gabriel Emenari for that opportunity, normally prefect positions are by appointment but he decided we go to poll this time. In that position was 4 contestants. Out of those four contestants I had the highest campaign, I shared gala, I shared lacasara. I had a lot of fans but guess what? After the election I got only 3 votes.
That was my first experience and it was terrible.
After that incident I became very popular and hence I picked interest. Among those people I contested with I was the only one that carried on with politics, after my secondary school days, I went to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, one week after moving in to a lodge at Miracle Junction, they held election and I won the PRO. I was the youngest among level 300 and 400 students in the lodge, I was just a fresher then in 2014/2015. But our administration made a difference, I was punctual and dedicated to my duty as the lodge PRO. Later I left Unizik to Ghana.
Ghana was a new world with a different political background and setting but I already had experience. In my 100 level in Ghana it was another election, I campaigned and my candidate won, that was how I Secured an appointment position as a member of Organizing committee under the leadership of Hon Kumah Moses as the SRC President, I served for a year and next year was another election, although my candidate lost the SRC President position but I was appointed as PRO for the international students. In that service I and my team under the leadership of Hon Roland Okoye we made a difference, then I contested for Nans PRO. That was the most difficult but I later emerged under appointment, I was dedicated and served not up to 6 months I got another appointment as my school PRO. I was working as Nans Pro and SRC PRO until my administration as Nans pro was over. I learnt a lot from all these PROs🤣 ...But yes, the student politics is over. All these long throw back was just to remind myself how I started, I have faced difficulties and I learnt in the hardest way. Now I have vision to continue from where I stopped, I was able to do better because I started from the grassroot back in my secondary school days, I never gave up after the day I lost the Time keeper position.
2023 is another phase of a new growth in political word, I am going for Aniocha house of Assembly, a new trial, I won’t feel bad if things don’t go my way, it’s all experience. All I know is there is only two thing.. it’s either I win or I win 😊

Education is the only Solution to our problem

Education means a form of learning in which knowledge, skills and habits are transferred from on generation to the nest generation. The education of a person starts when he is born. At the early stage the most important teachers of a child are his parents and specially his mother. Because ones mother can teach his child best. As there are three levels of education primary, secondary and tertiary.
The education plays a great role in developing country in every field. It plays a major role in the development of one country if the people of a country are educated then they can easily helps them in development.

In Nigeria education is neglected to the point where students are beginning to loose hope in education to extent of using the popular word “ School na scam”. The government of today failed to realize that education is the easiest way to develop a country.
Education gives people the skills they need to help themselves out of poverty or, in other words, into prosperity. If one got education then he is able to get a better job than a labor’s work. He is able to do a government job or any other private job and can show their skills which are helpful in developing a country. There is huge difference between an educated and uneducated person, an uneducated person can’t show his ideas and skills better than an educated person. He is always beyond the educated one. Hence it is the education which can leads a person from poverty into prosperity—- which means the easiest way to move out from poverty is education.

There are some difficulties that we face now in the field of education also which creates problems in developing a country. The most important challenges in the field of education are acknowledgment. The peoples don’t know the importance of education. They don’t understand it’s importance. The second thing is that, there is a lot of poverty in a country due to which we face challenges in the field of education. The people can’t afford to eat then how can one get education and become pillars in the development of a country. After that, one of the problem is corruption due to which we can’t get opportunity by which we can go higher in education and can help in developing a country.

Since the outbreak of Coronavirus, other well meaning countries have developed a system to keep students learning but in Nigeria schools went on strike even before the virus outbreak.
There is nothing like online lectures or a modern way to educate or teach students in Nigeria. After the pandemic, most students will drop out to look for money, some will get pregnant and stop schooling. Many will drop out because the system is frustrating and will end up saying school na scam.

Despite the track record of older generation youths, Nigerian politics is fast becoming the exclusive preserve of the older politicians, as seen from the constant recycling of government officials, especially those in their 60s. For many years, particularly after the country’s return to democratic governance in 1999, youths were at best seen as supporters, mobilisers or political foot soldiers hired to instigate violence, manipulate elections and intimidate opposing parties. While this image is not completely the fault of the older generation, these groups enjoyed the idea of youths as political mercenaries rather than competitors.
Most youths that seems to have been able to join politics have also took the part of old politicians who were their godfather.
I once told a fellow that education or going to school doesn’t mean you are wise, acquiring certificates without being able to change things around you or to influence the people around you positively means you are an educated illiterate. Our youths need to understand it’s time to move from mere political thugs to political competitors, we need to challenge what we feel is not right not just social media ranting.
I Christian Onyeka so much believe in the future we will build, but the call is now.

The 9th senate has brought a lot of bills that is not representing the interest of the masses rather their own interest.
First was hate speech bill, social media bill, now they are coming with immunity bill.
This is totally wrong, I so stand against this immunity bill and it has even passed second reading.
Why are they seeking to emend section 308 of 1999 constitution?
If our leaders have nothing to hide then why immunity bill?
And it’s not as if the legislative arm is having any pressure from the Executive arm that made them seek to demand the immunity, we haven’t seen any cases as such.
Ok, don’t get me wrong, the legislatures need total independence and don’t want to be a robber Stamp, but I think the immunity bill should be removed entirely both from the executives as well.
It’s we the masses that even needs this immunity bill, we need to be protected. Anyway after the third reading and when it gets to public hearing, let’s see if this bill will survive.

Falana made an interesting comment this morning demanding decentralization of police. To me I agree that every state should be allowed to produce its own police. His excellency Buhari, is also not totally against that idea but feared the states might owe the police men and also the politicians might use them for their personal interest which is actually true.
But my own opinion towards this is to allow the decentralization because we need to try another means of fighting insecurity in Nigeria since the centralized pattern is not working. We can’t be doing same thing and be expecting different results.
If the police is decentralized, it will help boost security in the state because all police men from the state will make sure they protect their state. They will care more than how they would have worked in another state.
Another advantage is that they know who or how to track any insecurity issues, they can easily relate with language. This decentralization was tried in Borno state and has reduced cases of insecurity in that state.

People who exude self-confidence and positive energy climb faster than those who lack these attributes. Nobody wants to be around a pessimist steeped in a negative worldview about themselves and everyone around them. There are people who do not see any good in anything. They object when they are complimented and predict the failure of everything before it happens. Eliminate all self-limiting beliefs and tel yourself, “ I can do all things” or “ I have what it takes.” Have confidence in who you are and who you can become.
