HOW I MET MY HUSBAND TUNDE & BIDEMI’S STORY

People say love shows up when you least expect it, and honestly that’s exactly how Tunde walked into my life.

It all started on a day I almost stayed home. I was tired, the weather wasn’t cooperating, and I had convinced myself I didn’t need to attend that event. But something in me said, “Bidemi, just go.”
I’m so grateful I listened.

I walked in, and there he was Tunde
Calm, collected, acting like he wasn’t aware that he was effortlessly stealing the spotlight. Our eyes met for a second, and I remember thinking, “Who is this one with all this confidence?”
Little did I know that this same man would later become my biggest cheerleader, my safe place, and my husband.

We ended up sitting close to each other, thanks to a friend who randomly said, “Bidemi, sit here jare.”
Tunde smiled at me, and somehow that simple smile turned into a conversation… and that conversation turned into us forgetting the world around us. It felt like we had known each other for years.

When the event ended, he walked me outside, still talking like we had a mini universe only the two of us understood. And before he left, he said,
“I don’t know why, but I feel like I’m supposed to know you.”

That sentence stayed in my heart.

Days turned into weeks, messages turned into long calls, and friendship quietly blossomed into something deeper. Tunde didn’t rush anything , he was consistent, intentional, and kind.
He chose me every single day, in small ways and big ways.

And one day, I looked at him and realized
This is the man my heart has been praying for.

Today, I call him my husband, but before anything else, he is my friend, my partner, and the one who makes every day feel lighter.

If someone had told me that attending that event would change my entire life, I would have laughed. But here we are, proof that sometimes God hides your blessing in ordinary places.

A meeting that felt accidental, but a love that was definitely destined.
