“We met in March 2008 at Ijapa’s movie location. My friend Sodiq fell īll, so I called to check on him and he told me he’d been admitted to a hospital around Ring Road in Ibadan. When I got there, I met Yewande by his bedside, that was our first meeting.

Sodiq said he was feeling better and wanted to be dischargÂŁd, so we spoke with the nurse and got him released. As we left the hospital that night, I kept wondering who the lady beside him was. I asked Sodiq ifthey were together, and he said no that they were only planning to work together on a project. He mentioned she was an actress but focused on English movies.

I told him I liked her, and he said that was none of his business. I got her number, and we started talking. She returned to Lagos the next day, but we kept in touch. By September that year, she was posted to Ibadan for her NYSC, so I used to visit her often. From there, things grew between us, and by 2013, we got married.” —Actor Biodun Thomas
