Episode 12 – The Visit of the Village Prophet

One Saturday morning, Felix and Amaka received an unexpected visitor. It was Prophet Nduka, a self-acclaimed man of God from Felix’s village. He had heard about their childlessness and came “with a message from the Lord.”

Prophet Nduka didn’t waste time. After barely greeting them, he leaned back in his chair and said, “My children, your problem no be ordinary. The spirit world is fighting you. Somebody close to you don’t want you to have a child.”

Amaka shifted uneasily. She had heard this kind of prophecy many times, and it always ended the same way — with demands for rituals, prayers, or sacrifices. Felix tried to stay calm, though his jaw tightened.

The prophet continued, “Amaka, there’s a woman in your family who has tied your womb. Unless you do cleansing, you will remain barren.”

Tears welled up in Amaka’s eyes. The words pierced her heart like a dagger. She had been fighting silent battles with shame, and now here was another accusation, delivered in the name of prophecy.

Felix finally spoke, his voice firm. “Prophet, with all due respect, we’ve heard many things before. We believe children come from God, not man. If it is His will, He will give us ours. No one can tie what God has destined.”

The prophet frowned. “My son, if you reject divine instruction, you’re rejecting solution. Do not test God.”

But Felix refused to bend. He held Amaka’s hand tightly, his grip both a shield and comfort. “Sir, thank you for your concern. But our marriage is not built on fear. We trust God. He will answer us in His own time.”

When the prophet left, Amaka broke down in tears, but Felix wiped her face.
“Amaka, my love, don’t let words of men destroy your peace. Even if the world says you’re empty, to me, you are full of love, patience, and beauty. I chose you, not because of children, but because of who you are. God knows our time.”

Amaka leaned into his chest, her tears soaking his shirt. In that moment, they both realized that faith and unity were stronger than fear and suspicion.

✨ Moral: Not every voice that claims to speak for God should be listened to. Sometimes, love, faith, and patience are the real answers.

Relationship Wahala – Episode 1

From a very young age, Tunde’s idea of love was already poisoned. He grew up in a broken home in Surulere where his father’s unfaithfulness was no secret. The man would leave the house for “business meetings” and return late nights with lipstick stains on his shirt. His mother cried often, but she stayed—hoping things would change.

As a teenager, Tunde watched the pain on his mother’s face, the humiliation from neighbours, the whispers at family gatherings. Somewhere deep inside, he made up his mind: “Women can endure anything. Na we men dey control the game.”

When he finally got into university, Tunde carried that mindset with pride. Handsome, charming, and smooth with words, he became popular among girls. But instead of seeing love as something sacred, he treated relationships like trophies. One girl for course notes, another for cooking, another for night outings. Each time a girl caught him cheating, he would twist the story, making her feel guilty for even suspecting him.

Tunde believed women were weak, too emotional to walk away. In his head, he was untouchable. “Na me dey choose, dem go always stay,” he told his friends. And sadly, many did.

But this lifestyle was born from a wound he never healed from—a boy who saw his mother cry every night, now repeating the very pain he once despised. What Tunde didn’t know was that his reckless ways were about to bring him face to face with a consequence that would shake his entire world.

To be continued… 👀

👉 Should I drop Episode 2, where Tunde meets the one girl who refuses to play his game—and instead, teaches him a lesson he’ll never forget?

Episode 11 – Love Stronger Than Wahala

The night was quiet, but Felix’s mind was loud. He sat outside on the veranda, staring at the moon, his shirt halfway unbuttoned after a long day. Amaka joined him, holding two cups of hot tea. She placed one in his hand and sat close, their shoulders brushing.

“Felix,” she said softly, “you no dey ever tire? All this talk from your people, the neighbours, even strangers wey no know us?”

Felix chuckled and sipped the tea. “Amaka, make I tell you something—na only you be my gist partner, my wahala partner, my gist and my joy. If the whole world dey shout, e no reach the love wey I get for you.”

Amaka blinked fast, fighting tears. “But sometimes e dey pain me, Felix. I dey look other women with children, my heart go dey cut. I go ask myself, ‘Why me?’”

Felix turned to face her fully. He held her hands firm. “Amaka, hear me today—whether children come or dem no come, na you I marry. Na you I love. Na you go dey my side till old age. I no go let anybody use you cry. God no dey sleep. One day, our own go land, and the world go shout with us. Until then, na me and you against the world.”

Amaka smiled through tears, resting her head on his shoulder. The moonlight washed over them, and in that moment, love was louder than any insult, any family pressure, or any pain.

The story of Felix and Amaka wasn’t just about waiting for children—it was about the strength of love, the stubbornness of commitment, and the kind of bond that can survive any wahala.

✨ To everyone reading: Sometimes love itself is the miracle. ❤️

Episode 10 – Family Fire & Pressure Wahala

From the moment Kemi entered Felix’s family, she knew not everyone truly accepted her. But as the years rolled by without a child, the whispers grew into open accusations.

One Saturday afternoon, Felix took his wife to the village for his uncle’s memorial. At first, things seemed normal — greetings, kola nut, small gist. But it didn’t take long before the daggers came out in words.

“A woman wey never born after so many years, what is she doing here?” one auntie muttered loudly enough for Kemi to hear.

Another relative didn’t even bother hiding her disdain. “Felix, you are the only son. Will you allow your family name to die like this? Look at your mates — their wives don born three, four children already.”

Felix tightened his jaw, trying to stay calm, but his mother’s voice cut through the noise like a sharp knife.
“My son, I cannot watch you waste your life. Amaka is not giving you children. You must take another wife.”

Amaka’s eyes burned as tears welled up. She sat quietly, pretending not to hear, but each word pierced her heart like arrows. She wanted to scream, to defend herself, to ask God why her womb had become the subject of gossip and humiliation.

Felix, seeing her pain, finally stood. His voice shook but carried authority.
“Enough! This is my wife. She is my choice. And let me tell you — I will not disgrace her. God gives children, not man. If you want me to take another wife, you are wasting your time. Amaka is my family.”

The silence that followed was heavy. Some of the family members hissed and shook their heads, while others avoided eye contact. Amaka, overwhelmed, excused herself and wept behind the compound.

That night, Felix found her still crying. He wiped her tears and whispered,
“No matter what they say, you are my wife. You are my blessing. We will wait on God together.”

In that moment,Amaka felt both broken and strengthened. The world was against her, but her husband’s love was her only anchor.

👉🏾 Dear reader, how do you think a woman in Amaka’s shoes can survive constant family pressure without breaking?

Episode 4: The Prophet’s Bedroom Deliverance

The night was unusually quiet in Felix’s compound—until the prophet arrived. Dressed in a white flowing garment, clutching anointing oil in one hand and a bell in the other, the man walked in like a soldier on divine assignment.

“Brother Felix!” the prophet bellowed. “The Lord has revealed the source of your barrenness. It is hiding in your bedroom. Tonight, deliverance must take place on your matrimonial bed!”

Felix swallowed hard, glancing at his wife, Amaka, who already looked like she wanted the ground to open and swallow her.

Mama Felix, who had insisted on calling the prophet from the village, clapped her hands. “I talk am! This deliverance na the final one wey go open womb!”

Felix whispered to Amaka, “Babe, this one don pass my power o. How man go carry bell dey shake for where husband and wife suppose do night duty?”

The prophet didn’t wait for permission. He marched straight into the bedroom, sprinkling oil everywhere, even on Felix’s pillow. He started rolling on the bed, chanting, “Holy Ghost! Fire on this bed! Any spirit stopping pregnancy, receive pepper!”

Amaka covered her face in embarrassment. “Mama, is this really necessary?”

But Mama Felix was clapping like a cheerleader. “Shake that bed, man of God! Shake am well!”

Meanwhile, Felix was fuming. He loved his mother dearly, but this was the last straw. After the so-called deliverance session, which left their bedroom smelling like palm oil mixed with kerosene, Felix finally stood up and made an announcement.

“Mama, abeg, pack your load. We need peace for this house. From today, no more prophets, no more night vigil inside my bedroom!”

Mama Felix’s eyes widened. “So you dey pursue me? After all my effort?”

Felix sighed deeply. “Mama, if you no go, this prophet fit collect my wife from me. Na better peace I dey find, not another wahala.”

Amaka burst into laughter, hugging her husband tight. Mama Felix, shocked and offended, started packing her things while muttering, “Ungrateful pikin. You go see!”

But for the first time in weeks, Felix and Amaka felt relief. Little did they know, Mama Felix had no plans of staying away for too long…

If you want to see what Mama Felix will cook up next, COMMENT “YES” to continue this madness!

Episode 9 – Internal Struggle

At night, when everywhere is quiet, Amaka pillow often soaks more than the bucket in the bathroom. She hides her tears from Felix during the day, but when the generator hums and the compound dogs bark in the distance, she curls up and weeps silently.

Scrolling through her phone doesn’t help—pictures of friends flaunting baby dedications, birthday shoots, and “Mummy & Me” selfies only deepen her pain. Sometimes she whispers to herself: “God, why me? What did I do wrong?”

But Felix, ever watchful, notices. One night, he found her clutching her wrapper and sobbing quietly. He pulled her close, wiped her tears, and whispered:

“Amaka, stop comparing yourself with anybody. You are my joy, my happiness. Even if God delays, His time is always perfect. I love you with or without children. You’re my wife, my partner, my everything. God will answer us.”

That reassurance hit her heart differently. For the first time in a while, she smiled through her tears. She realized she wasn’t alone—Felix wasn’t just waiting for a child, he was holding her hand through the waiting.

And that night, for the first time, she slept without crying.

💔😭 But this struggle is real, and many couples in Nigeria know the weight of it. Love, patience, and faith are the only things holding them together.

Episode 8 – The Whisper of Shadows

It started like a joke, the way gossip always does in a Nigerian compound. One evening, Amaka stepped out to fetch water from the well, only to hear two women at the tap whispering.

“Abeg, no let your pikin too dey follow her play,” Mama Bisi muttered.
Mama Chika leaned closer, lowering her voice but loud enough to sting: “You never hear? Dem say woman wey no fit born for this many years don chop her children for spirit world.”

Amaka froze. The bucket slipped from her hand, splashing muddy water across her wrapper. Her heart thudded in her chest.

She turned to face them. “Excuse me? You people dey talk about me?”

The women gave her the kind of fake smile that Nigerians perfect so well. “Ah, Aunty Amaka! No vex o, we just dey gist.”

But by the next morning, the entire compound was buzzing. Some neighbours began to look at her with suspicion. Others made sly comments. When Amaka greeted, a few ignored her. And the children who once came to play now avoided her, pulled back by cautious parents.

At night, she cried silently on Felix’s chest.
“Felix, what did I do? I love children. I pray every day for God to bless us. And now people dey say I eat my children in spirit? Is that the kind of wicked thing they see in me?”

Felix clenched his jaw. “Amaka, listen to me. You’re my wife. You’re not a witch, you’re not barren in my eyes. People are wicked because they don’t understand pain. But I swear, anybody wey try this nonsense again, I go face them.”

The pressure kept building. In church, a prophetess gave a cryptic prophecy:
“Somebody here, the reason your womb has been closed is because of strong ancestral powers…”
Every eye in the congregation darted toward Amaka. She sat stiff, hands trembling, fighting the tears burning her eyes.

Later that week, Felix returned home to find a heated meeting happening in the compound. Mama Ngozi was at the center, declaring boldly:
“All I know be say, a woman wey marry for 8 years without child, something dey wrong. Felix, abeg carry your wife go deliverance before her bad luck go affect us all.”

The compound murmured in agreement. Felix’s face darkened. He stepped forward, raising his voice:
“Enough! If na gossip all of you sabi do, better shut up. My wife is not your problem. Mind your own families!”

The yard went quiet. But Joy knew deep inside—this was only the beginning.
