I made a post about a young guy less than 40 years old who took a bet on the future of Fidelity Bank by investing 43 million naira in Fidelity Bank shares 3 years ago.

After reading an update I made that day, he reached out to me, and I helped him to buy those shares.

I still remember vividly our conversation that night and how much he paid for my time. (I don't help people for free. We need to be clear on that before you start sending me messages to help you too).

Today, those shares are worth roughly 270 million.

The attached receipt below was when the shares were 201 million, 4 months ago, which he shared with me.

Today his investment had crossed 250 million and is now at 270 million and heading to 300 million.

Most importantly, he has earned over 40 million naira from his dividend payments.

Technically, he has recovered his investment back.

When I was growing up, our parents and the older generation took a bet on the Nigerian stock exchange by buying a lot of shares.

That is true.

These shares are worthless today.

A lot of reforms have happened in the past 15 years; the Nigerian Stock Exchange is now a viable vehicle for creating wealth.

That is another truth.

People are making money from this distressed economy.

This guy just cashed out 12.2 million in dividend payments from his 43 million investment which he did 3 years ago
