𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴?
Have you ever been at something and someone goes, "I love how you do XYZ and how you pay attention to every detail surrounding it"? A soul has been captured by your sermon of paying attention to details without you even saying a word.
Every day, with every action, we are preaching a sermon. Our lives, more than our words, communicate powerful messages to those around us. This isn’t just about grand gestures or public speeches; it’s about the subtle, everyday choices that reflect our true character and values.
Imagine Jane, a young professional who always goes the extra mile at work. Her dedication, punctuality, and positive attitude don’t just get the job done—they inspire her colleagues to strive for excellence too. Her life preaches a sermon of commitment and integrity. If Jane were a TV show, she’d be “How I Met Productivity.”
Or consider John, a father who prioritizes spending quality time with his children despite his busy schedule. Through his actions, John teaches his kids the value of family and the importance of being present. His life preaches a sermon of love and devotion. If John were a movie, he’d be “Finding Time-o.”
Now, think about your own life. What sermon are you preaching?
Before you answer, think through this.
👉 Are your actions aligned with the values you hold dear?
👉 Are you inspiring those around you to be their best selves?
👉 If your life were a sermon, what would it be called?
In our immediate surroundings and within our niches, our lifestyles have a profound impact. People watch, learn, and are influenced by what we do more than by what we say. Our consistency, kindness, resilience, and passion become the silent but powerful sermons that can transform lives.
Reflect today on the message your life is sending out. Make a conscious effort to live in a way that uplifts, encourages, and sets a positive example for others.
