Ifa Bibo is the Yoruba practice of feeding, worshipping, and maintaining Ifa, typically performed by initiated devotees. It involves daily morning prayers, cleaning of the Ikin (sacred nuts), and monthly offerings to foster spiritual connection, gain wisdom, and ensure life balance.
Key Aspects of Ifa Bibo:
Purpose: To honor Ifa (Orunmila), appease energies, and request blessings, success, and protection.
Requirements: Generally for initiated individuals; if you have your own Ifa, you feed it, or you may pay a Babalawo to do it. Translate to Yoruba version

Ifá existed long before the arrival of European Christian and Islamic colonialism in Africa. Christianity arrived in the 1st or early 2nd century AD, and Islam appeared in the 7th century AD.
‎ Ifá is often described as a comprehensive body of knowledge encompassing philosophy, history, medicine, and a way of life, rather than solely a "religion" in the modern Western sense. It forms the core foundation of Yoruba culture and belief systems.
