In the teachings of Yoruba traditional wisdom, a person is encouraged to look inward before looking outward. Before we accuse another person, before we seek spiritual intervention, and before we perform any spiritual work, we should first ask ourselves:
‎ Does my character agree with what I am seeking?
‎Spirituality is not only about rituals, sacrifices, prayers or consultation. It is also about character, responsibility and self-discipline.
‎A person who refuses to examine himself may continue blaming other people for problems that are partly created by his own decisions and behaviour.

On this sacred day of Ìṣẹ̀ṣẹ́, we give thanks to Olódùmarè, the Supreme Being, for the gift of life, wisdom, family, and the blessings of our ancestors.
