Mother and boyfriend charged with abusing 11-year-old boy for years after he escaped the apartment in pouring rain wearing only underwear
The boy was found with multiple abrasions, cuts, welts, old and new bruises, and blood on his face after being struck
Fox Lake, Illinois, police said dish soap had been poured on him, including his mouth and ears
"Physical abuse from hitting striking with closed fists, open hand, extension cords, kitchen utensils like spatulas, things like that."
Pricilla Marshall, 34, and Cody Marion, 35, are in Lake County Jail
Marion is being held pending trial on charges of aggravated battery, domestic battery, and endangering the life of a child
Police found two more children, 1 and 2 years old, and two boys, 7 and 12, at school
All the children were taken into protective custody and are now staying with other relative
