It takes a truly mature heart to choose kindness when you've been hurt. Anyone can love when everything is going well, but showing compassion after disappointment is a different level of character.
Whether you agree with his decision or not, one thing is certain: revenge may satisfy the moment, but kindness leaves a lasting impact.
That scene reminded me that the strongest people are not always those who fight back—they're often the ones who choose to do good even when they have every reason not to.
What would you have done if you were in his shoes? Would you have helped her, or walked away?

Let's hear your thoughts.

THE REJECTED STONE
Episode 9: The Final Trap

Morning broke over the city, but for Daniel, hope and fear arrived together.

At the prison clinic, Musa slowly opened his eyes.

Daniel rushed to his bedside.

"Musa! Thank God you're alive."

Musa managed a weak smile.

"I told you... your story isn't over yet."

Before Daniel could reply, the prison superintendent entered with two police detectives.

"Daniel," he said, "we owe you an apology."

Daniel looked confused.

The superintendent continued,

"New evidence has confirmed that you was framed."

At that moment, Isabella walked in with a broad smile.

"We found one of the robbers."

She placed a file on the table.

"Kenny 'Snake' Eze has been arrested."

Under interrogation, Kenny confessed everything.

He revealed that Victor was the mastermind behind the robbery and that Daniel had been used as a scapegoat.

He also admitted that Victor ordered the attack on Chief Emmanuel and the assassination attempt inside the prison.

Later that afternoon, Chief Emmanuel finally regained consciousness.

His family gathered around him.

The first words he spoke were,

"Where... is Daniel?"

Isabella held his hand.

"He's alive, Dad."

Chief Emmanuel closed his eyes in relief.

"I saw Victor's face that day... I can identify him."

The police now had the witness they needed.

An arrest warrant for Victor was issued immediately.

But Victor had already learned that Kenny had confessed.

Enraged, he shouted,

"We're leaving the country tonight!"

Then another idea crossed his mind.

"If I'm going down... Daniel will suffer first."

Within hours, Grace was returning home from work when a black van stopped beside her.

Before she could scream, masked men grabbed her and forced her inside.

Her handbag fell to the ground.

A passerby picked it up and immediately called Isabella.

That evening, Daniel was officially released from prison.

The prison gates opened.

For the first time in weeks, he breathed the fresh air of freedom.

Grace should have been there to welcome him...

But she wasn't.

Instead, Isabella arrived with tears in her eyes.

"Daniel..."

His smile faded.

"What happened?"

She struggled to speak.

"Grace has been kidnapped."

Daniel felt as if the ground had disappeared beneath him.

Just then, his phone rang.

An unknown number.

He answered.

Victor's voice came through the speaker.

"Congratulations on your freedom."

Daniel's fists tightened.

"What have you done to Grace?"

Victor laughed.

"If you want to see her alive..."

He paused.

"...come alone to the old abandoned quarry at midnight."

The call ended.

Daniel looked up at the dark sky.

This wasn't over.

It was only beginning.

To be concluded in Episode 10.

THE REJECTED STONE
Episode 8: The Night of Betrayal

The prison block was covered in darkness.

The voice echoed again.

> "Tonight... you die."

Daniel slowly stood from his bed, his heart pounding.

"Who's there?" he asked.

No answer.

Only the sound of slow footsteps drawing closer.

Suddenly, the cell door creaked open.

Three masked inmates slipped inside, each holding a sharpened metal weapon.

One of them whispered, "Victor sends his regards."

Daniel's blood ran cold.

So... the attack wasn't random.

Someone wanted him dead.

The first attacker lunged.

Daniel dodged just in time, but the blade grazed his shoulder.

He cried out in pain.

The second attacker rushed him, knocking him against the wall.

Just as the third man raised his weapon...

A loud shout echoed through the corridor.

"Leave him alone!"

It was Musa.

Without thinking, Musa threw himself between Daniel and the attackers.

A sharp blade plunged into Musa's side.

"Argh!"

Daniel caught him before he hit the floor.

The attackers tried to strike again, but prison guards, alerted by the noise, came running.

"Stop!"

Whistles blew.

Boots thundered down the corridor.

The attackers scattered, disappearing into the darkness before they could be identified.

Musa was rushed to the prison clinic.

As doctors worked to save him, Daniel sat outside, covered in blood.

He couldn't stop blaming himself.

"If I had never picked up that bag..."

A prison officer walked over.

"They weren't trying to fight you."

"They came to kill you."

For the first time, the authorities realized Daniel's life was in danger because someone feared the truth.

Meanwhile, Isabella was making progress.

Using the clue about the snake tattoo, she visited several police records and discovered a known gang member named Kenny "Snake" Eze.

His photo matched the description perfectly.

She immediately drove to the police headquarters.

"We've identified one of the robbers."

The investigating officer looked shocked.

"If this is true, the entire case against Daniel is about to collapse."

Across town, Victor received terrible news.

"The men failed."

Victor slammed his glass against the wall.

"How can three men fail to kill one prisoner?"

"They were interrupted by the guards."

Victor took a deep breath.

"This has gone too far."

He picked up his phone and called someone.

"It's time."

The person on the other end replied,

"What do you want me to do?"

Victor's voice turned cold.

"Kidnap Grace."

He smiled wickedly.

"If Daniel survives prison... we'll destroy him through the woman he loves."

THE REJECTED STONE
Episode 7: The Fight for Survival

The heavy iron gates of the maximum-security prison slammed shut behind Daniel.

CLANG!

A prison guard shoved him forward.

"Welcome to Block C."

The inmates stared at him in silence. Some smiled. Others whispered to one another.

Daniel could feel it.

Something was wrong.

That evening, dinner was served.

As Daniel carried his tray to an empty table, a huge, muscular inmate blocked his path.

His name was Scorpion—the most feared prisoner in Block C.

"So... you're the famous armed robber?" Scorpion mocked.

Daniel shook his head.

"I'm innocent."

The inmates burst into laughter.

Scorpion stepped closer.

"In here, everyone is innocent."

He suddenly slapped the tray from Daniel's hands.

Food scattered across the floor.

"You have two choices," Scorpion said. "Fight me... or clean that mess with your tongue."

Daniel clenched his fists.

"I don't want trouble."

Scorpion punched him hard in the face.

Daniel fell to the ground.

The other inmates cheered.

As Scorpion moved in for another blow, a familiar voice echoed through the hall.

"That's enough!"

It was Musa.

He had also been transferred to Block C.

He stood between Daniel and Scorpion.

"If you want a fight... fight me."

Scorpion laughed.

"You've got courage, old man."

Without warning, Scorpion threw a punch.

Musa dodged it.

The two men exchanged powerful blows as prisoners crowded around them.

Finally, prison guards stormed in and broke up the fight.

"Everyone back to your cells!"

That night, Daniel sat quietly in his cell.

His face was bruised.

Musa handed him a wet cloth.

"You'll need to be stronger than this."

Daniel looked at him.

"Why are you risking your life for me?"

Musa smiled faintly.

"Because years ago... someone risked theirs for me."

He paused before adding,

"And because I know what it's like to be punished for a crime you didn't commit."

Daniel looked at him in surprise.

Before he could ask another question, the prison lights went out.

Darkness filled the block.

Then...

A cell door creaked open.

Slow footsteps echoed through the corridor.

Daniel could hear someone approaching.

The footsteps stopped outside his cell.

A voice whispered from the darkness,

"Tonight... you die."
