โBlessing CEO, it is my hope that you will view this video, as it appears you are utilizing a phone to create these recordings. This message is conveyed from a place of concern, and I trust that upon your release from detention, you will reflect on your past actions. It is troubling to consider how significantly you have compromised your credibility to the extent that the public no longer trusts your statements.
Martins Vincent Otse, a prominent social media critic and activist known as VeryDarkMan, has publicly addressed the controversial relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, following reports regarding her detention and the tragic loss of her son.
In a video statement released on Saturday, September 26, 2026, VeryDarkMan emphasized the necessity for Okoro to engage in profound self-reflection, asserting that her current legal and personal challenges have escalated beyond typical issues.
"I hope that upon your release from detention, you will take the time to reflect on your past. Your difficulties have transcended ordinary concerns; they have evolved into matters of character and spirituality that require resolution," he stated.
The activist connected her current predicament to her history of online controversies, including her recent and heavily criticized assertion of battling stage 4 cancer, which has been met with skepticism by many Nigerians.
He remarked that her previous actions have significantly diminished public trust, making it increasingly difficult for individuals to express sympathy for her, even amidst genuine tragedy.
"You have manipulated public perception to such an extent that, in the wake of a truly devastating event, people are struggling to believe you or extend empathy. They perceive it as yet another publicity stunt," he asserted.
VeryDarkMan further contended that her brand began to deteriorate following her involvement in the marital crisis of businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD, and his late wife Bimbo.
"The moment you became entangled in the IVD situation and began to bear the burdens of others, that was when your character and brand began to falter," he added.
He concluded by advising the relationship expert to pursue spiritual cleansing and to completely reevaluate her approach to social media upon her release from detention.
