This tasted so good, wish I could share a slice with you all. Do follow the recipe below to recreate yours.
Ingredients
Ingredients:
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
A pinch of salt
¾ cup sugar
½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
2 eggs (room temperature)
½ cup fresh orange juice (from about 2 oranges)
2 tbsp orange zest (grated orange peel)
¼ cup milk or yogurt (optional for extra moisture)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
1. Preheat your oven to 150°C - 160°C(300°F -320°F)Depending on your oven strength. Grease your cake pan with butter and lightly dust with flour (or line with parchment paper).
2. Mix dry ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Mix wet ingredients:
In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light. Add oil, orange juice, orange zest, milk (or yogurt), and vanilla. Mix well.
4. Combine:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined — don’t overmix.
5. Pour & bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Cool:
Let it cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
Glazing - Icing sugar 60ml, orange juice 5ml and little zest.
Mix and use as a simple topping
