The constant police brutality against students of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua is becoming unbearable by the day.

Despite constant efforts from various quarters to address these issues time after time, nothing tangible has come out of it. Despite the Diplomatic efforts by the School Management and other successive Students Union Governments leaders to address these challenges, there seem to be no permanent changes by the police officers.

For how long will this continue? For long will the students be harrased by Men the Nigerian Police Force, Ikot Ekpene Division? For long shall students live under fear for men of the QIU, Ikot Ekpene Division?

We call on His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare and all other well meaning individuals to please come to the aid of the Students as it's gradually getting unbecoming.

If police officers could harass and arrest me,Miss Akwapoly unjustly ,how much more other students of Akwa Ibom State polytechnic.

On Wednesday 12/03/2025,9:24 PM, at library avenue,Ikot Ekpene, the policemen from Ikot Ekpene area command harassed me,one media personnel and two of my friends all in the school same.

They arrested us for no reason after searching us and found nothing.

They tagged us prostitutes and smokers/fraudsters just because I own an iPhone.

They hit us in the station with a very big stick as though we were animals.

They looked me in the face and said they don’t care if I die of the asthma attack I had there.

They ceased our phones so we couldn’t call for help.

A female officer catcalled me and said so many bad words to me.

I witnessed how they treated other victims as well.

They bit up a bike man who claimed to also be a personnel at correction center ( prison),Ikot Ekpene,till the man was bleeding 🩸.

They extorted 10,000.00 cash from us.

They released us at an unfriendly hour ( some minutes past 12 AM) to go.

They claimed to have supernatural powers (juju).

They did a lot that I can’t even type 😭

This is the time for everyone in to do something for us.

End bad police officers in Ikot Ekpene.

The way this one on top is looking at me, it fit sour my soup immediately I finish cooking it.

There is something about his bombastic side eyes. Even the shape of the mouth is so unforgiving as if we have unfinished scores to settle.

I don’t know if I have met the stockfish before and he vowed never to forgive me🙄
I have a feeling that it may be my ex that reincarnated as a stockfish.
