Renaming of University of Maiduguri

The Federal Government of Nigeria has renamed the University of Maiduguri after former President Muhammadu Buhari. The university will now be known as Muhammadu Buhari University, Maiduguri. This decision was announced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a special session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) held to pay tribute to the late former president .
