I carried my 12.5kg gas cylinder this morning with full confidence, thinking maybe I would spend around the usual amount.
As I got to the gas station, I even greeted the attendant with a smile 😅

Me: “Abeg full am ‘’
The man checked the meter and said calmly, “Madam, na ₦1,800 per kg now.”

I laughed first because I thought he was joking.
I said, “Oga stop playing abeg… na gas I wan buy, no be land for Banana Island.”

He turned the machine for me to see with serious face 😭
At that moment, my soul left my body small.
12.5kg × ₦1,800 = heartbrêæk 💔
I just stood there calculating my life choices. One woman beside me even whispered, “At this point, make we go back to charcoal.” 😭
The painful part? Gas no dey last again oo😭
I said oga pls give me 3kg😭😭😭
Nigeria is really teaching us mathematics by force.
