I salute the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba and the entire members of the Nigeria Police Force on the 2022 Strategic Security Conference holding in Owerri today, 31st Oct. 2022, themed "The Imperative of a Nigeria Police Strategy Plan for Peaceful Elections".

The NPF remains a formidable and an indispensable national institution. Over the years, the NPF has strived to operate optimally, despite the obvious constraints in staffing, professional training, equipment and low moral support.

Nigerians look forward to the day when the NPF will be fully operational in fulfilling its statutory mandate and contribution towards the government's primary responsibility to protect Nigerian citizens, and its personnel will enjoy the high moral support and pride of place that they deserve. Meanwhile, I salute men and women of the NPF.
