A friend called me last week Wednesday on my way out. She told me her daughter's stomach was swollen and hardened. I asked her to take the child to the hospital.

She then took her to a well known female hospital in Akesan called Madaniyyah female specialist hospital and they had 2 tests done (18k ) that showed the girl had Nephrotic syndrome☹️☹️☹️

Madaniyyah hospital referred them to General hospital on Sunday, General hospital referred them to lagos state University teaching hospital (lasuth) in Ikeja. Lasuth said there isn't bed space for her and asked that they go to luth.

By this time, she was already in pain. Her cheeks, back and eyes were swollen already with fluids. Her leg was paining her. She was crying. Her dad took her to Luth that night almost 10pm

She's been admitted in Luth and treatment has commenced. From last Sunday till date they have spent close to 100k on tests and drugs.

I visited her on Wednesday and was sad with the way she looked. Her eyes are almost shut due to her swollen cheeks. The doctors assured us she'll be back to normal with the mercy of Allah.

The doctors estimated she'll be placed on treatment for about six weeks☹️ and they will still be needing roughly 200k for her treatment to continue.

The father wanted to discharge her against medical advise due to lack of fund to seek herbal treatment 🤐.

A doctor counselled him that the nephrotic syndrome is curable and if he discharges her in this state it'll lead to kidney failure and they will be requiring 50k every 3 days for dialysis and eventually have to source for millions for kidney transplant abroad.

Hmmm

He had not choice than to pray and hope in Allah's mercy for assistance.
