SKILLS: A REQUIREMENT FOR EXCELLENT JOB DELIVERY
Skill is one of the needed attributes in excellent work delivery. As well as education is important, skills enable proper implementation of tasks, assignments, or jobs.
What is Skill?
Skill is the ability to perform a task, assignment, and job well. It is also the ability to do something competently. It is important to acquire necessary skills in any choice of career, work, or vocation. Skills can be acquired through training, research and learning.

1. Generic Skills
2. Special Skills
3. Soft Skills
4. Hard Skills
5. Leadership Skills
These skills are not applicable for all tasks or jobs. There are generic skills and specific skills. Generic skills can be applied on all tasks, assignments, and projects. Specific skills are used for certain tasks and projects. Also note that certain job roles have key and unique tailored skills required that depict high level of competency.
HOW TO APPLY SKILLS FOR A JOB OR TASK
1. Understand the Job requirements
2. Identify the needed Skills for the job: Based on the task requirement, identify the skill needed
3. Access the relevance of the skill: Check the relevant of the skill to task at hand
4. Focus on the Job requirement: Focus on the job/task requirements
5. Research: Get more details of the skill application

STARTER: LIFE AFTER TERTIARY INSTITUTION
Life after tertiary institution is demanding for most people. The support from parents and relatives began to dwindle and expectation of jobs and starting a life becomes high.
It is important to make plans and the right moves before rounding up studies in college/university.
Start defining where to be after school, in the corporate world, entrepreneur or in business. Gather the right information/resources needed and start the preparation to your desire destination.
Join the right groups or platforms (online & Offline) that will enable the attainment of your preferred profession. Note that one cannot survive alone, networking with others for information and assistance will always come handy.
Be prepared to start at a low level and climb gradually to your desired height.
Starting at the low level is not humiliation but a platform to learn from mistakes, learn new things and increase knowledge. The Low level can be volunteer, intern, trainee or low pay.
In most professions, experience is one of the important things that put one ahead of others.
Therefore, strive to gain experience, be focused, and know that life is in phases. Learn as much as possible and engage in research.
