A former Program Manager at Almond Careers Limited, Muyiwa Oguntoyinbo, has accused the organisation of failing to pay a final ÂŁ500 which he says remains outstanding from remuneration owed for work carried out before his departure in July 2025.
Documents reviewed by Lionscrib show that Mr. Oguntoyinbo had a formal contractual relationship with Almond Careers. A Contract of Service dated 6 April 2023 appointed him as Program Manager and outlined payment terms for facilitating Saturday classes and working with project teams.
According to Mr. Oguntoyinbo, Almond Careers owed him about ÂŁ1,500 when he stopped working with the organisation. He says the company subsequently began making instalment payments towards the amount, but those payments stopped around October 2025, leaving an alleged balance of ÂŁ500 unpaid.
Mr. Oguntoyinbo says he made several attempts to recover the outstanding money and provided Lionscrib with WhatsApp communications relating to the dispute.
In one exchange reviewed by Lionscrib, a response attributed to Henry Mbadiwe, identified by Mr. Oguntoyinbo as the owner of Almond Careers, referred to financial difficulties within the organisation and stated that others were also being owed.
However, Lionscrib has not independently established the complete payment history between the parties, and the £500 figure is based on Mr. Oguntoyinbo’s account and the materials he provided.
Before publication, Lionscrib contacted Almond Careers, formally presented the allegations and gave them 48 hours to respond. They were also invited to provide payment records, correspondence or any other documentation that could clarify or challenge Mr. Oguntoyinbo’s account.
As of the time of publication, Lionscrib had not received a substantive response from Almond Careers.
Mr. Oguntoyinbo maintains that the matter is straightforward: he says he completed the work, part of the outstanding amount was later paid, and a final ÂŁ500 remains unsettled.
