Few days ago, I left my jallopy Honda car with the mechanic, I had expected him to finish his work before my children will close from school, but he didn't.

I hopped on a bike, negotiated with him to take me to my children's school and two other places. We agreed on a fee.

While on the bike, I initiated a conversation because I was afraid of his speed, and Mr Daniel informed me he had to meet up with a deadline to pay his Oga because he took the bike on installment. E ma yo mi lenu, Daniel is the bikeman.

We got to my destination, I asked Dan to park, take a chilled bottle of Coca cola and tell me his story.

Daniel is a graduate who refused to be frustrated by his inability to get a job, he took the Okada on installments and has only eight thousand Naira to balance, but he has not been able to pay for a month because his mother has been sick. This led to threats from the Oga that he will seize the bike if Daniel failed to pay on that day by 4pm.

I asked Daniel to take me to the man to confirm his story. The man corroborated what Daniel told me and I offered to pay the 8k balance.

He brought out all necessary documents and Daniel signed in my presence.

Guess what?

The man refused to take the balance in full and only collected 5k from me.

Daniel cried for joy and has been calling me every day to show his appreciation.
