When temptation comes... when you feel weak... when you feel like you're about to fall, strengthen what remains so that nothing can steal your crown.

Don't entertain the flesh. Instead, run into your secret place and sit with the Father. There is strength in His presence that cannot be found anywhere else.

Temptation is like a serpent. It doesn't always strike immediately it slowly wraps itself around its prey, squeezing tighter and tighter until all the breath is gone. We must cut the head off the snake the moment it begins to approach, before it ever has the chance to raise its ugly head against us.

Never forget that sin separates us from our holy God. It weakens our fellowship with Him and hardens our hearts. The Bible tells us that each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is fully grown, brings forth death. If we continue in habitual, unrepentant sin, refusing to turn back, we place ourselves in a dangerous position. David understood this when he cried out, "Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me."

We have tasted of the goodness of God. We have known His mercy and experienced His grace. Don't throw it all away for a passing pleasure that can never satisfy.

My friends, don't throw in the towel. Don't give in to the whispers of that ancient serpent. Discipline your flesh. Say "no" to the temptations hell brings against you, and say "yes" to the One who gave everything to redeem you.

Fight for your relationship with God. Guard your heart. Stay in His presence. The crown is worth far more than the temporary pleasures of sin.

Revelation 3:11 – "Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown."

Psalm 51:11 – "Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me."

• James 1:14–15 – "But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death."

Hebrews 6:4–6

• James 4:7–8

Galatians 5:16

God will give you a teachable and humble heart to know more and more of Him. You'll not be limited by pride. Remember, Apollos was humble enough to learn from others. Are you humble enough to learn from people who might not be as popular, prayerful, or educated as you are? Receive grace to continue learning. A good morning to you all.

THEME: HOW THE EARLY APOSTLES OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST DIED.

TEXT: PSALMS 116:15.

_"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints"_

Here is what the author of Hebrew 11:37 says:

_"They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;"_

1. APOSTLE MATTHEW.

Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, Killed by a sword wound.

2. APOSTLE MARK.

Died in Alexandria, Egypt , after being dragged by Horses through the streets until he was dead.

3. . APOSTLE LUKE.

Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous Preaching to the lost.

4. APOSTLE JOHN.

Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully

5. APOSTLE PETER.

He was crucified upside down on an x shaped cross. According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

6. APOSTLE JAMES.

The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.

This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.

7. APOSTLE JAMES THE SON OF ZEBEDEE.

He was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry.

As a strong leader of the church, James was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial.

Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of ex*****on. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

8. APOSTLE BARTHOLOMEW.

Also known as Nathaniel. He Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.

9. APOSTLE ANDREW.

He Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony.

His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words, "I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it". He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired.

10. APOSTLE THOMAS.

He Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Subcontinent.

11. APOSTLE JUDE.

He Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.

12. APOSTLE MATTHIAS.

The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot. He was stoned and then beheaded.

13. APOSTLE PAUL.

He Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the New Testament.

Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor to compare to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Pass on to encourage other Christians. Why Do we feel sleepy in Prayer, but stay awake through a 3 hour movie?
Why are we so bored when we look at the HOLY BOOK. But find it easy to read other books?

Why is it so easy to ignore a massage about God,
Yet we forward the nasty ones?

Why are Prayers getting smaller, but bars and clubs are expanding.

Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity, but very difficult to engage with God?

Make this message your contribution to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

CONCLUSION.
YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS IS YOUR SAVIOUR. BE READY TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH, HOLD ON TO SOUND DOCTRINE OF THE GOSPEL. DO NOT DENY CHRIST NOR COMPROMISE.

God bless you all.
