Why you don’t always see posts from your friends or followers immediately after they publish them. Sometimes, posts appear hours later (even after 24 hours) because of how the Facebook algorithm works. Here are the main reasons:

1. Algorithm decides what to show first

Facebook doesn’t show posts in strict time order. Instead, it prioritizes posts it thinks you’ll engage with — based on your past likes, comments, shares, and watch time. A post might only show up later when the system thinks you’ll interact with it.

2. Engagement boost

If a post suddenly starts getting many likes, comments, or shares, Facebook may “push” it again so more people (including you) see it, even if it’s already old.

3. Limited feed space

Since you follow many people and pages, Facebook can’t show you everything at once. It spaces out content and sometimes delays showing certain posts.

4. Your activity matters

If you haven’t been online for some time, Facebook will still surface posts it believes are important — even if they’re already 24+ hours old.

5. Testing different times

Facebook often tests showing the same post at different times to different people to see when it gets the most engagement.

1. Use copyright-free music (royalty-free music).

Facebook itself provides a Sound Collection with free music and sound effects you can use safely.

You can also use music from sites like YouTube Audio Library, Pixabay, or Epidemic Sound (some require subscriptions).

2. Replace or remove the copyrighted music.

Facebook sometimes gives you the option to remove or mute the claimed audio while keeping the rest of your video.

3. Get permission or a license if you really want to use a particular song.

This is usually more relevant for bigger brands and creators.

4. Create your own sounds or voiceovers.

This makes your content original and safe from copyright issues.

👉 As a new creator, I strongly recommend you stick to royalty-free music or Facebook’s Sound Collection. That way, your videos will stay fully audible, eligible for monetization, and safe from copyright problems.

It can feel confusing when people keep following you but your follower count doesn’t go up, or it even reduces. Here are the main reasons this happens:

1. Unfollows and Inactive Accounts

Some people may follow you and later unfollow if your content isn’t what they expected.

Facebook also removes fake or inactive accounts regularly — when those are deleted, your count goes down.

2. Delayed Updates

Sometimes, Facebook doesn’t update your follower count instantly. You may see new followers in your notifications, but the number doesn’t change until later.

3. Following vs. Liking Your Page

If you’re using a Page, some people might “like” your page but not “follow” it (or vice versa). Only followers count in the follower number.

On Professional Mode (profile), people can send a friend request (which doesn’t increase your followers) instead of clicking “Follow.”

4. Algorithm Cleanup

Facebook frequently removes “spam follows” or suspicious accounts. This can cause your follower count to drop, even while real people are following you.

5. Content Fit
