Shock in Nasarawa community as deceased man walks out of casket at point of burial

The Gidan Angalu community in Toto Local Government Area, Nasarawa State was thrown into shock penultimate Tuesday with the ‘resurrection’ of a native doctor at the point of burial two days after he was certified dead.

Fifty-nine-year-old Godwin Ugeelu Amadu had been confirmed dead by doctors at a private hospital at about 6 am on September 5, 2022, following which he was covered up and wheeled into the mortuary as doctors and family members awaited the arrival of his Abuja-based eldest son, Mr. Jacob Amadu.

Since the deceased native doctor was said to have left an instruction with his children that he must be buried not later than three days in the hospital before burial and he must not be embalmed with Formaline, arrangements were said to have been made for his burial two days later.

To the utter shock of Amadu’s children, relatives and sympathisers, however, the native doctor rose from the casket he was kept in as arrangements were being made to take his co**se to the graveyard, causing the crowd that had gathered for his burial to run in different directions.

The ‘resurrection’ of Amadu two days after his ‘death’ turned him into an overnight celebrity as people came from far and near to confirm what had happened.

FG Commissions N13.3 million Toilet Donated By Real Madrid’s Footballer David Alaba In Ogun

Real Madrid star David Alaba has been commended for donating a biodegradable toilet to Ogere Remo community in Ogun State.

In December 2021, the player through the David Alaba Foundation donated N13.3 million to build toilets in Nigeria.

On Friday, the federal government, through the Minister of Water Resources Suleiman Adamu, lauded the gesture by the Nigerian-born Austrian international in a statement.

Chinese man is accused of killing his girlfriend from Kano.

the police in Nigeria arrested a Chinese man on suspicion of killing his girlfriend in Kano State in the north of the country.

Kano State Police Spokesperson Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa told the BBC that they are detaining the man and are continuing to question him.

Chinese is suspected of going to his girlfriend's house on Friday night where he used a knife to cut the deceased's throat.

The suspect was arrested after the residents of the house told the public what was happening.

This incident has attracted the attention of many people on social media in Nigeria because such cases are rare.

There is no confirmation on the reason for this incident, except for some reports that the Chinese son was upset because his girlfriend is going to marry someone else.

Canadian Judge Grants Man Asylum Reliefs After Claiming Tinubu Tried To Kill Him

Canadian judge Henry Brown has granted asylum reliefs to Lukmon Owolabi Shoyebo after claiming APC presidential flag bearer Bola Tinubu tried to kill him in Lagos for defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.

Mr Shoyebo, a former APC youth leader, operating on a local level, said he incurred the wrath of Mr Tinubu and Bolaji Ayinla, the then House of Representatives member for Mushin II constituency, for decamping to PDP at a time when the party was desperately counting on his support to overthrow the party.

Mr Shoyebo also claimed that an assassination attempt on him on November 18, 2015, resulted in the death of two people at his workplace. The Nigerian asylum seeker also told the Canadian authorities that his relatives were targets of vicious attacks.

“The family claims refugee protection because they fear persecution from a powerful political figure in the All Progressive Congress (APC) and a chief in the Ogboni cult, due to the PA’s (principal applicant) political opinion,” stated the application presented before Mr Brown, seen by Peoples Gazette.

“They also allegedly fear an elected APC member of the Federal House of Representatives for the Mushin II constituency who has in the past joined forces with the Ogboni chief in attempting to harm the PA,” the document added.

2023: Nobody Can Stop Peter Obi’s Rally In Lagos –AAC Presidential Candidate, Sowore

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, on Thursday said no authority can stop the planned rally of his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi in Lagos.

Sowore made this known via his social media platforms while reacting to a lawsuit filed by 10 lawyers who asked the Federal High Court in Lagos to stop the Labour Party, its candidates, and supporters from having a rally tagged “ Forward Ever Rally” on October 1 or any other date, in the state.

The lawyers specifically asked the court to restrain the party; its presidential candidate, Obi; his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, one Julius Abure, and their loyalists from holding the rally, until the hearing and determination of their motion-on-notice of September 12.

A 36-year-old Nigerian man has received financial support through social media after demanding that his university refund him the cost of his degree, which he claimed was no longer useful to him. Oludare Alaba graduated in 2015 after a 5-year degree in agriculture and rural development. He didn't get a refund from the university but did get financial support from many people who saw his story on social media. BREAKING! Again, Atiku Jets Out Of Nigeria

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has traveled abroad.

Mr. Paul Ibe, Media Adviser to Atiku, in a statement entitled “Atiku travels to Europe on business,” said insinuations that the trip is for medicals is not correct.

Ibe said “Atiku Abubakar will travel to Europe this afternoon on a business trip.”

Part of the statement said he “will be travelling immediately after his meeting on Friday in Lagos, with the leadership of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) alongside the PDP vice presidential candidate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta.

“Today’s trip is in continuation of an earlier business trip of 3 weeks ago. At the conclusion of his European trip, the former Vice President will also use the opportunity to visit his family in Dubai.

“His trip is for business and family purposes and has nothing to do with medicals as being insinuated in some quarters.” Ibe said.
