Story Time: Actress pro max😅

When I was a teenager, I desperately wanted to be on screen. I was so hungry for acting that I was ready to act for free, just to let the camera see me 😌🎬.

Fast forward, university came, I graduated, started working, even got married… yet my acting dream was still doing hide and seek with me 😅.

Then one faithful day (yes, faithful, not fateful 😂), a parent in my school called me and some colleagues to act in a short playlet. Immediately I knew: THIS. IS. MY. MOMENT.

I delivered like my destiny depended on it. As I finished acting, my body just calmed down… like, “Okay my child, you’ve tried” 😌. The passion is still there ooo, it’s just not burning like kerosene again 😂

We shot from morning till night and I was later paid 7m…

Unpopular Opinion (especially for parents with children in school):

Dear Parents,
Thank you for appreciating your child’s teacher with gifts. We truly value the thought behind it. However, please note this: gifting a teacher is not compulsory. Teachers are paid professionals doing their jobs, so the job they do for your child is what they have been paid to do. Please don't feel compelled to gift them anything.

If you choose to give a gift, let it be done with sense and respect.

How does a parent give a teacher earrings without hooks?
So you bought earrings, didn’t like them, removed the hooks to use elsewhere, and then decided that what remained was good enough for your child’s teacher?
As how now? 🤨

If the gift is no longer useful to you, please don’t repackage it as “appreciation” for a teacher. Appreciation should not feel like insult.

Once again, giving gifts is optional. But if you must give, give with dignity.
Na teachers we be. We no be beggars.

Naija parents, this is for you🤚🤚

Toddler tantrums are not bad behaviour.
They’re emotional overload.

Not every cry needs shouting, threats, or “I’ll give you something to cry for.” (una sabi this one well well😂😂😂)
Sometimes your child doesn’t need discipline, just connection.

If a grown adult can slam doors when stressed, why do we expect a 2-year-old to “behave”?

Tantrums don’t mean your child is stubborn.
It might mean they’re tired, hungry, or overwhelmed… and you’re the safe space.
