“Where’s the Goodbye?” is the band’s latest single and just from the intro, you’ll agree to the fact they’re a very talented group. The production on the track is quite polished, illuminating the work the band have injected into making this composition a reality.
The lead singer, Jerome displays his velvet-like vocals pulling the listener in and drawing them closer to the lyrics. The chorus is gorgeously crafted, elevating the song to an entirely different level with its sentimental intonation. The track’s introspective touch creates a whole new energy as the band’s effortless flow graces its rock-tinged backdrop.

Unfastened and exposed, the words bleed with an emotional and almost vulnerable cadence, detailing the singer's own battles on her road to self-actualization. The mix gathers momentum into the joyous flow of the chorus, pulsing and throbbing in a polished display of rhythmic affection. “Replay'' was apparently conceived while the artist was going through a phase of discovery. She poured out her doubts and fears into the lively and jovial composition. Capturing these searing emotions, not only in the lyrics, but in the song itself, Dumebie manages to create a sound that is honest yet simple to follow.

To give a synopsis of this track, the duo are trying to imagine a world where everyone utilizes their voices for good, attempting to bring change, one positive action at a time. It implies that, rather than focusing on what we cannot do, we should focus on our ability to change the world and though the world will never be perfect, we do what we can to strive for a better tomorrow.

Before You Exit is a three-piece boy band. They exhibit an exuberant and passionate sound that perfectly combines acoustic balladry, emo-pop and dance oriented electronica. “Strangers” is a chill, laid-back and heavenly track, starting off as a ballad but moving into the electronica genre as the song proceeds. It has a haunting feel to it which merges well with the vocals of this talented trio. Take note of how good they are now because they are only going to get better.

If you haven't heard of Sasha Sloan, give it a few years, I'm sure you will. She is a rising star in her own right and on “Older” she delivers a heartfelt note for those of us who have been through a difficult childhood at home. The song is a plaintive, confessional piano ballad off Sloan’s “Loser” EP, with the verses bringing the song’s real-life inspiration; the dissolution of her parents’ marriage, sharply into focus. On the track’s final form, the somber piece cycles through melancholic piano chords and Sloan’s solemn but wise voice, delivering the story taken from her own life.

Amber Kamminga is a talented Dutch artiste with a sound similar to those of Kacey Musgraves and Kelsea Ballerini. The rising star self-produced her EP titled “Star-Crossed Lovers” in 2017. Her stunning track “3AM” is definitely one that will make folks remember past or current relationships with a lot of emotion. From the onset, it’s quite clear Kamminga has a great voice, which soars throughout the track. The easy going sentiments on the verses work well, but Kamminga’s vocals really shine on the chorus. The heartfelt lyrics on “3AM” are truly the defining factor of the song. Kamminga uses both the poetic and musical meter to give the song a nostalgic feel. She also highlights convoluted human emotions and the complicated relationships they revolve around. Due to her sincere and discerning lyrics, Kamminga helps her listeners to examine themselves from within and heal from painful experiences.

On “Lost Boy,” Canadian singer-songwriter, Ruth B taps into the world of Peter Pan. It's the first song she ever wrote and revolves around themes like separation, escaping reality and diving into one's imagination.
The track is featured on her debut EP, “The Intro” and is a beat-less piano ballad surrounded by nostalgia, while also exhibiting Ruth’s smooth vocals. Ruth occasionally climbs into falsetto but the track doesn’t have much movement or drama. This isolation is further emphasized by an echo effect. Everyone has been lonely at one point or the other and Ruth B’s “Lost Boy” shines a light on this feeling.

Gabrielle Aplin is definitely one of the best vocalists I have ever heard. She has two studio albums to her name and one of the most beautiful voices in music, capable of reaching the highest vocal notes, something you'll realize while listening to this exceptional piece.
“November” falls into the indie-rock genre and simply explains how this particular month has been ruined, due to a memory she can’t seem to forget. The track is a light-hearted one, fully showcasing Aplin’s incredible vocal ability. She is a truly gifted artiste and I hope to share more of her magnificent tunes with you.
