By: Voice Of PDP Nigeria

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth support group, the Red Cap Movement of Nigeria, has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to the former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, as he celebrates his 78th birthday today.

In a statement issued through the group’s spokesman, Daure David, the Red Cap Movement lauded Atiku Abubakar for his decades of dedicated service to the nation, emphasizing his contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development, economic growth, and efforts toward national unity.

“On behalf of the Red Cap Movement of Nigeria, we celebrate the life and leadership of our esteemed former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar. His unwavering commitment to the progress and prosperity of Nigeria has been an inspiration to many of us, particularly the youth,” Daure David said in the statement. “As he turns 78 today, we reflect on his remarkable journey—his legacy as a statesman, businessman, and a relentless advocate for the betterment of Nigeria. We wish him continued good health, happiness, and success in all his future endeavors.”

The Red Cap Movement, a group known for its active support of PDP policies and youth engagement in the political process, also acknowledged Atiku’s leadership in promoting democratic values and his advocacy for the empowerment of the youth.

Atiku Abubakar, who served as Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, remains one of the country’s most influential political figures. His long-standing role in Nigeria’s politics, both as an elected official and a major presidential contender, continues to shape national discourse.

As the country marks this significant milestone in Atiku’s life, members of the Red Cap Movement, along with supporters from across Nigeria, are joining in the celebrations, recognizing his legacy and impact on the nation's political landscape.

SECURITY ALERT

Hello RCMites,

Hope you all are alright 👍🏽

I reached out personally to those of us who I know reside at Ibadan to be sure they are safe after the horrific blast yesterday that left some reportedly dead and injured.

Also security reports available to me indicates that there is a rise in kidnapping incidents around Abuja-Kaduna axis as well as other areas. Please be security alert at all times and avoid unsafe places.

May God protect our country and everyone of us.

The former Vice President of Nigeria, H.E. Atiku Abubakar and 2023 PDP Presidential Candidate had personally written to verified support groups to express his profound appreciation for our unwavering commitment and support to his candidacy and that of Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Vice Presidential Candidate and former governor of Delta State even as they await the outcome of the election petition before the law court.

Being No. 17 on the list of nationwide support groups invited to collect His Excellency’s letter of appreciation is quite humbling and satisfying. I should waste no time in dedicating this to the over 200,000 leadership, membership and followership of the Red Cap Movement of Nigeria that worked with and for us during the campaign.

At an appropriate time, I will speak on the extent of what we did in our first attempt at a national campaign in that election and that got us admiration commendation from at least four (4) other state governors and top party leaders.

National Coordinator. Barr. Desmond T. Orisewezie Esq
