Few years ago I took a trip to the East. On arrival at ChisCo park onitsha, I took refuge at the home of my former manager and good friend Az Onuoha before paying a visit to my former neighbors at 32 Silas Works, Fegge Onitsha. Afterwards, I extended same courtesy visits to some neighbors at the popular Mike Okeke Line, Bridge Head Market.

I then made a few stops at Ochanja market shoe line to visit my bosom friend and ex classmate Ejim Chinonso. After which i went to Emeka Offor plaza at main market to say Hi to some of my home boys. Finally en-route to my Parent's, I decided to stop at the Relief market close to Upper Iweka and bought a bottle of whisky.

It was little bit expensive but I paid with quite some excitement.

On my arrival, I was welcomed home with a small feast by my Mother, before presenting the whiskey to my Dad. He said a prayer and popped it open in the presence of friends in attendance. When he took the first sip. I was obviously beaming with smile, so proud and about to mention how I selected the perfect brand, when atmosphere changed. Look and behold,

Daddy spat away the liquor and said in a disappointedly "they have cheated my son!". Me! Emeka.how. who does that. For this OSHA?

Long story short.

It turned out to be a number 2 fake. An XO for that matter. I was highly embarrassed.

Years later, after series of business failings, I would later find myself in that same line of business where fakes are the norms. more mind blowing to know is the fact that people prefer buying fakes than original, Afterall it's cheaper. such mentality are the real problems in the wine & spirits industry today and so many consumers are enablers.

Why would you want to buy Glenfiddich for below market price? Why would you go for a Jameson for less the normal price? In fact, why should you even buy liquor from just anywhere without a guarantee of its origin?

Well, the point of this story is to remind you that I sell original wine and spirits. I have been tested and trusted in this business. That is why my reputation always speaks volume for itself. Each time you buy from me, you are saying in effect that you trust me, and no way would I break your trust. the interesting part is, you would no longer make dealers of fakes profitable again .Gradually with time they will fade, but I will be here.

So, the choice is yours. Me versus Them. How would you choose? Anyways, I wish you would choose Me over Them 😊
