GOVERNOR ADELEKE CELEBRATES FIRST LADY OLUREMI TINUBU ON HER 65th BIRTHDAY

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, SEN. OLUREMI TINUBU, CON, on the auspicious occasion of her 65th birthday, celebrating her grace and unparallel conviction for impacting lives.

Governor Adeleke notes with fondness Senator Tinubu's deep commitment to nation building and the upholding of democratic principles, recalling the pivotal role she played in shaping the institution of the Senate and serving its purpose for Nigerians during her three-term in the upper legislative chamber.

The Governor hails the First Lady as a champion of women upliftment, contributing most of her public service years in echoing their challenges and pushing for opportunities, commending her for the sustained interest she has shown on youth development and the development of the larger society.

"I join family, friends and well-wishers to celebrate an incredible woman of unimaginable importance, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the joyous occasion of her 65th birthday. Senator Oluremi Tinubu is an Amazon, shaping not just lives for the better, but also building a pathway for a prosperous future," Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying in a congratulatory message.

"Senator Tinubu is a unique blessing of nature to us, and I enjoyed the grace of her kindness during my short stint in the Senate, as she not only explore her experience to guide my time in the red chamber, but also provided the needed support that made the journey eventful.

"As she marked a new age, I honour her life of service and contributions, and more importantly, praise her for sharing in the burden of serving Nigerians with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu."

Governor Adeleke prays to Almighty God to bless the First Lady with more rewarding years in good health and sound mind while "she continues to stay by the side of our beloved President Tinubu and offer the needed strength in his enviable pursuit of a prosperous Nigeria."

Osun 2026: Artisans, market women, and Traders Drum Support for Adeleke, Asks FG to Release Osun LG Funds

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has promised to justify the confidence people of Osun State reposed in him.

Senator Adeleke have the assurance while speaking at an endorsement rally organized for him by a coalition of non-governmental organization, the 'People First Movement'.

Senator Adeleke assured the people that his administration will intensify efforts to deliver more democratic dividends across the books and crannies of the State.

While admonishing residents to embrace the current window of continued voter register, CVR to get their permanent voters card or replace their lost or defaced PVC and register their children and wards who just attain the age 18.

The Governor said, 'we will redouble our efforts to deliver dividends of democracy and good governance. The aspiration of Osun people will be my guide. The confidence you reposed in me will be motivation and a much needed support base', the Governor assured.

He added that, ' our people have approved my administration. The public service recently organized a rally of solidarity and endorsement. The Farmers from across the state followed in the train of support. Now, we have this grassroots vote of confidence in our administration.

Workers in the formal and informal sectors of Osun State have thrown their weight behind the reelection bid of Senator Ademola Adeleke as Governor of Osun State in the 2026 governorship election.

The Artisans, Traders and Market Women who converged on Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in Osogbo under the umbrella of People First Movement said the achievements of Senator Adeleke speaks volumes so much that the blind can see and the deaf can hear the numerous achievements of the Governor in barely two and half years.

The Convener of the group ,the Leadership of the Artisans, Traders, Market Women while welcoming the Governor and his entourage said the group was fascinated by the numerous infrastructural development projects which spread across the 30 local governments and area office. Subsequently the Group appeals to President Bola Tinubu to wade into the Local Government quagmire in the state.

They described the kind of leadership being provided by Senator Adeleke as people-centered saying the Governor has engendered several positive transformations in education, health, economic, climate change and several others.

In their remarks, the Iyaloja of Osun State, Chief Mrs. Mary Oyebode, Babaloja of Osun State, Chief Adeniyi Iyiola, Chairman of Osun NLC, Comrade Chirstopher Arapasopo among others said Governor Adeleke has applied soothing balms on the negative memories of poverty, stagnation and lack of regards for the people inflicted on them by the immediate past administrations in the state and voe to ensure Continuity of the Good works of Governor Ademola Adeleke so Osun can tow the path of Sustainable development and continued economic Progress.

The People First Movement is a non-partisan movement of well-meaning Nigerians across all spheres of life who want good Governance and sustainable development. Olubadan’s Demise: Governor Adeleke Mourns Oba Olakulehin

● Commiserates with Governor Makinde, Oyo State Government, and Ibadan People

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has expressed deep grief over the passing of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, describing the loss as a profound blow not only to Ibadan but to the entire Yoruba nation.

Governor Adeleke extended heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde, the Government of Oyo State, the Olubadan-in-Council, the Royal Family, and the people of Ibadan, noting that Oba Olakulehin’s reign though brief was marked by dignity, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to the progress and unity of the people of Ibadanland.

"Oba Olakulehin was a monarch of profound wisdom and grace. Even within a short reign, he embodied the virtues of Yoruba Royalty’s calm leadership, cultural pride, and unwavering love for his people," Governor Adeleke said in a condolence message.

He added that the late monarch’s passing at the age of 90 marks the end of a remarkable chapter in the traditional institution of Ibadanland and leaves a legacy of selfless service, courage and peace.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Osun State, I extend sincere condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde, the Government of Oyo State, the Olubadan-in-Council, and the entire people of Ibadan on the passing of the 43rd Olubadan, His Imperial Majesty Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.

"Oba Olakulehin, even in his final days, remained a symbol of continuity, cultural wisdom, and Royal honour. His transition is a great loss not only to the throne of Ibadanland but to the Yoruba people whose values he dutifully upheld.

"May God comfort the people of Ibadan and grant the late monarch eternal rest among his forebears.”
